Mat McBriar roughed up

Text messages from the field shortly after the blocked punt in overtime indicated that Cowboys punter Mat McBriar was pretty hurt on the play.


He was carted off the field after being hit while the punt was blocked.


Indications are that Bobby Carpenter missed his block on the punt, allowing McBriar to get laid out and injured, possibly ending the season for the Pro Bowl punter.

No it won't. Come on, we have much, MUCH bigger problems. This want matter at all. So what instead of pinning a team inside the 10 every once in a while we just give them the ball at the 20. Thats about it. This is sad becuase McBrair is a nice guy and consistent but its not going to cost us any games.

Its a weird play, both Carpenter and Curtis didnt even try to make the block and Davis didnt make an attempt either. Looks like the Cowboys were asleep at the wheel and figured the Cards were going to set-up a return and not try to block.

Someone failed to block worried about getting downfield. I refuse to look tonite at it so I don't know who is guilty. STs and the players are.

Even Bruce Read doesn't have the right tackle responsible for blocking the guy coming between the left tackle and left wing.
