More Work For Amendola, Less for Pac'?

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said they will try to get undrafted rookie receiver some work in the passing game on Saturday night, but the problem is they are trying to develop other receivers as well.
This the problem Amendola is going to have: With Miles Austin, Sam Hurd and Isaiah Stanback all ahead of him and closer to being productive NFL players, they are going to see more work, and more passes.
Amendola may yet make the team, but it reinforces the notion that he's still a year away.

I think waiting until the season opener for Adam Jones to returns punts is plain dumb. He should see some action at that ST position in several preseason games just to mentally adjust to the speed & everything else in that situation. So I'm hoping that somehow I've read or misinterpreted what Wade was saying. Just like I'm hoping that he's spending a lot of time having the players work out the kinks on the ST; or at least closely monitoring what the you know what is doing as coach of the ST.

I think the second sentence was Engel guessing. I would think the dress rehearsal game would be where Adam and Felix(on kickoffs) get some returns.

Until Goodell speaks, Phillips can't be sure Jones will be available. He has to make sure he has someone else ready in that case.

.... because Stanback has shown soooo much. Sadly not...But you're right regardless. Lets get more athletic QB's to fill our WR roster... sounds good to me. It worked for our baseball players.
