No more foolishness

Look at who the Cowboys and have signed who the Cowboys have let go since in the end of the 2008 season and the message is clear: time is out for foolishness.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and coach Wade Phillips both promised a more disciplined team in the immediate days following the most disappointing and underachieving season in franchise history.

They have put some bite in their bark with the departures of Terrell Owens, Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson and a hefty $22,000 fine to tight end Martellus Bennett for a profanity laced rap video.

Bennett is appealing the fine but the message has been sent. No more foolishiness, no more knucklehead activity, no more selfishness, no more mess.

...following, that is, the completion of the reality TV show that will decide a training camp roster spot.

Bennett's appealing? then I hope the case goes before an arbitrator who doubles the fine to $44,000 and adds an additional $1,000 for every additional sentense that Bennett "raps" in his defense. Sorry, but that kid's a meathead - dead from the neck up!

Does Clarence get paid to type sentences that make no sense?

Great, just in time! I mean they only wasted two prime superbowl chances by running a soft program and letting the supposed talented players run the show and run amuk.

Better late than never I guess, but yeah... I think we missed out on a SB appearance in 2007 and 2008. I hope the window of time hasn't closed.

I don't know that Crayton dropping that 3rd and 14 pass vs. the Giants had anything to do with a "soft program". We had a great team in '07, but the inches just favored the Giants that afternoon.

Sometimes the chips just don't fall your way. Had the chips not fallen the Patriots' way in a snowstorm vs. the Raiders in the '01 divisional playoffs, the NFL would've been very, very different over the next 8 years.

Maybe he should sing a country song with cursing in it next time.

wow I see what your deal is now.
Yeah, who cares that he's a young man rapping, we have bigger issues to deal with than that.

I bet if him and Owens weren't a certain color you wouldn't be whining about the qb and owner in every post lately.

I don't know about we...cause it seems like you still have an issue with something you think is not an issue...is that the issue?

What color is that?

Jerry is basically telling the team that he's cleaning up the mess. So he goes out and signs a guy that keeps breaking the law.

He's got all of you in his back pocket. Let's clean up the rappers on the team, but forget about the criminal unless the fans turn on him, then I'll fire him. I love our owner.

Are you more concerned with a youngster having harmless fun on youtube, or your QB who can't take a sack without fumbling?

Sounds like he has you in his back pocket and you left your dentures at home so you can't bit him in the backside as hard as you would like. :laugh2:

Holy moly mother of mayhem....I honestly forget how silly some people got over this thing and how much they did not realize why he got in trouble.

He did not get in trouble for rapping, he did not get in trouble for cursing...he got in trouble for acting like an arse while wearing a DALLAS COWBOYS HELMET.

Like I've said, Jerry should concentrate on the true issues on this team and not harmless issues.

He could have simply brought him in the office, and told him that it was inappropriate, the next time will be a huge fine.

But Jerry had to make a statement to the fans. A meaningless statement at that. If I were Bennett, I'd go right back to youtube and curse/rap again just not use the Cowboys names in it at all. Then I'd dare Jerry to fine me, I'd sue him and take that stadium.

No you wouldn't. You'd shoot your mouth off and do nothing because Jerry would wipe the floor with the likes of you.
