Can't see them going Washington.

Washington/Dallas is a mega draw no matter what.

I wouldn't mind one bit because it would mean Dallas goes to WAS early in the year but I just think there are too many people looking to get extra ratings any way possible.

Would not rule out Chicago. If we played Denver in 2001 and 2005, what makes them think they won't schedule Chicago 6 years after we played them the last time in Dallas.

Me too. It makes sense though when you think about it from a ratings standpoint. Let's hope the Cowboys rise to the occasion.
From a ratings standpoint yes. But from a fairness standpoint it's B.S. At the end of the season when teams are hurting anyway from injuries, etc., making one team play 4 of the top 10 teams in the league is unfair. Year before last we had numerous injuries and had to play the top 4 defenses in the league IIRC. It would be nice to get a couple weaker teams during the stretch run.

Week One, Thanksgiving game announcement gets bumped a day

Posted by Mike Florio on March 22, 2010 1:03 PM ET

It has been widely expected that the NFL would announce on Monday the schedule of prime time games in Week One and the full slate of Thanksgiving games.

As it turns out, the ketchup will be at the lip of the bottle for another day.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the announcement has been moved to Tuesday, tentatively.

Per Klis, NFL schedule guru Howard Katz said he needs more time before the games can be locked in.

It's currently known that the Saints will host the first game of the season, on the evening of September 9. There's a growing sense that the Vikings will be the opponent.

The Jets reportedly will host the first game of the Week One Monday night doubleheader. The Jets also are expected to host a game on Thanksgiving night, which means that the Patriots would play at Detroit.

I agree. Too bad the league doesn't.

Thanksgiving game announced Monday
The NFL is expected to release some of the nationally televised games this season, including the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day opponent. The Cowboys will host an NFC team on Thanksgiving this season. It could be the Bears. The Saints most likely will travel to Cowboys Stadium for a December game if the league continues to back load the Cowboys' opponents to guarantee high TV ratings late in the season.

like others have said and quoted this here, it is the first time i have ever heard this, but I sure have wondered why our decembers are always the toughest.
Is this really fair?
Tell me I and others here are reading this wrong.

No schedule announcement Tuesday

An NFL official just entered the media room to inform us that the partial schedule would not be announced today. He said there is no timeline, that the schedule is "still being worked on."

The Cowboys had been expected to learn their Thanksgiving Day opponent and possibly their opening day opponent during these meetings.

You speak truthfully. For some reason, the NFL just loves to make December as hard as possible on this team:(
