Sherman likes what he sees in St. Louis
Cowboys wide receiver coach Ray Sherman is one of seven candidates vying for the St. Louis Rams' opening. Sherman is set to interview soon and former ex-Cowboys assistant Todd Bowles (Miami assistant) is also in the mix. Sherman is a highly-regarded coach across the league and done about as well as he could handling Terrell Owens.
The Rams (dude) went 2-14 this season but they do have RB Steven Jackson and the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
Sherman is a demanding coach and some of his style may have been negated by the overall atmosphere created by Wade Phillips.
Sherman was an offensive coordinator in Minnesota (1999) and Pittsburgh (1998). He's been in the NFL since 1988.

Article said:Sherman, reached by phone Monday in Dallas, said it was a career goal of his to be a head coach in the NFL and that he was looking forward to the Rams interview.
"I just think it'll be an excellent opportunity," Sherman said. "It's a team that has some exciting players and has a chance to turn it around."
Sherman, of course, saw the Rams at their best this season. His Cowboys were on the receiving end of a 34-14 loss to St. Louis on Oct. 19.
