Wade won't talk

Wade has put himself on lockdown for the Senior Bowl in Mobile. He refused to talk to reporters after Tuesday's morning practice. This has never been the case since he arrived in Dallas. Wade said he has been told not to talk by the Cowboys PR department. What do we make of this? Maybe part of the changes with the Cowboys.

Please let this be a team directive.

Screw the whining about no news. Silence is golden.

Amen.
I hope the next Cowboys official who talks is fired.

There should not be a single word uttered until draft day.

Hopefully this will begin a trend of this team's officials and players staying quiet...

I want to model the Patriots as far as the press is concerned.

Minus the cheating, I wish we would model everything the Patriots do.

The way we finished the season, ALL the coaches and players should be embarrased to talk anyway...

Hope this silence continues all offseason.......

I don't think anything crazy is in the works, the idea of Cowboys staff and players keeping their mouth shut has to start at the top, and it looks like it has begun, this is a good thing.

I don't know why he'd ever talk to them except for what's mandated in his contract. Literally everything he says is somehow spun to make him look stupid or incompetent.

Galloway was even saying that Bruce Read was a scapegoat. When you get trashed for firing an obviously terrible coach, the criticism has officially reached the ridiculous stage.

good nobody needs to be saying anything right now;)
I agree. After that disgrace of a performance against the eagles I don't want to hear from the owner, coaches, or players. All of their efforts should be dedicated to cleaning up this mess. Let the media speculate, but don't give them any ammunition. Its amazing the super bowl is 2 weeks away, but we still continue to take the headlines.

Not trying to be negative here, asking an honest question.

Isn't it usually the assistant coaches that are muzzled when there is an information lock down? Isn't it usually the head coach who is the face and voice of the team?

Why is it that in Dallas the Head Coach is locked down?

I know people get tired of hearing it, and I understand why, but to me, this is just one more reason why it isn't really about Wade Phillips at the moment. The issue is Jerry.

If you really believe Wade Phillips can get the job done, fine. I don't agree, but I can live with it. But if you are going to ask Wade Phillips to get the job done, at least TREAT THE GUY LIKE THE HEAD COACH OF YOUR FOOTBALL TEAM.

*Let him set the fines
*Let him be in charge of controlling what comes from his players and assistant coaches to the media.

When the head coach is telling people that the head of PR told him to be quiet, good golly, it makes him look like just another employee, (I know he IS an employee), instead of the guy in charge of his football team.
