the NFL dropped the ball by not making an NFC East opponent our final home game in TX Stadium.

lets see if they come to their senses and give us an NFC East opponent to open Jerryland

If some of the crazy rumors prove true and Terrell Owens is traded to the Raiders, Cowboys fans could at least boo an opponent.

So a "journalist" thinking out loud, suddenly becomes a rumor ?:bang2:

How freakin' stupid can this get?

I want it to be the Commanders, i wanted the last game at Texas stadium to be the skins as well, we have a lot of history with that team which IMO make them the only choice for that game

I expect the NFL to make it as hard as possible for Jerry Jones. I expect it to be in a National Prime Time Slot. And since I hate Philly more than any other NFCE team, I believe the Cowboys will be embarrassed by the Eagles in it's first game of the season at home. I hope not, but that is what I expect.

Any of the NFC East teams will beat the Cowboys if we open against them. They'll play like it's the Superbowl and the Cowboys will play like they're out there to collect a check as per usual.

Apparantly Jerry pissed in Goddell's Wheaties or something because we get screwed every freaking week.

So the notion that we are going to get a softie is just dumb. Watch Goddell give us the G-men or the Panthers on openning day, just watch.

A game that right now you cant imagine them losing. Seems to easy and it usually is.

Good Lord, openning a billion dollar stadium with a loss to freaking Oakland.

What a disaster that would be, it would rival losing to the Texans in their inagural season.

It would be worse. The Cowboys were near rock bottom in 2002. We're supposedly good now.

seems like most would like to see us play the sisters of the poor.

Only problem is they dont exist in the nfl. Especially in week 1 or week 17.

in week 1 or week 17 anyone can beat anyone. And as december showed us and the rest of the season, we are not that special to begin with.

I hope it is a divisional game. The stadium has been loud over the last few years for divisional games, adding 17,000 + people will only make it louder, throw in a rival and it will be fantastic.

I want it to be one of the seemingly better teams. The place SHOULD be fired up for the first game in the new stadium, as should the players. I don't want to waste that on some creampuff team. If they still lose, then it doesn't matter, it sucks either way.

Never mind we went 2-1 at home against NFCE teams last year.

While a loss would suck either way, it would be alot easier to accept a loss to the Giants or Panthers than to Oakland.

Losing to Oakland would be like UT losing their home openner to North Texas.

It's cool how everyone has decided Dallas can't beat anyone....:laugh2:

I understand frustration with how last year ended but you guys have officially fallen off the deep end.

Dallas Losing to Oakland would be nothing like UT losing to North Texas. Not even close.

Oakland can play defense and they can run the ball. Thats all baltimore could do.

And oakland beat a 9-6 team on the road to finish off there season. We are not much better than tampa currently.

and again, look at the history of the league, anyone can beat anyone in week 1 or week 17.

There are no sisters of the poor in the NFL. Especially when your Dallas and everyone hates your guts and loves to get a piece of you.
