NFL NOTES
'Pacman' offers mea culpa
From staff and wire reports
Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones bought a full-page newspaper ad to print an open letter in which he promised to regain the trust of his team and fans.
In Friday's editions of The Tennessean -- Nashville's daily newspaper -- Jones told his family, coaches, teammates and Titans fans he must reorganize his priorities.
"In the past few weeks, I have learned a lifetime of lessons," the letter states.
Jones writes of hoping to not only meet but exceed people's expectations.
"The first step in meeting these goals is for me to stop making the poor choices that have put me in this position," the letter reads.
Reeves signs
Cowboys cornerback Jacques Reeves signed his restricted free-agent tender of $850,000 Friday.
Reeves is the last of the team's restricted free agents to sign a one-year contract.
Reeves, a three-year veteran, has served primarily as the team's fourth cornerback behind starters Anthony Henry and Terence Newman and third cornerback Aaron Glenn.
He is also considered a valuable contributor on special teams. He had 13 special teams tackles and one forced fumble in 2006.

Briefly
Chiefs: Trent Green is so eager to join the Miami Dolphins that the quarterback's representatives have asked Kansas City general manager Carl Peterson to expedite a trade, a source told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Dolphins: Miami fired running backs coach Bobby Williams.
Bengals: Former Cowboys defensive lineman Michael Myers signed a two-year contract. Myers started every game last season for the Broncos.
NFL: Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer has been invited to the NFL Draft, where the league plans to honor the 32 people killed Monday at the school.
