You should be banned from this board for ever agreeing with that pathetic piece of crap.

Most of the people who agree with him probably think we should have fired Wade and the rest of the coaching staff, but ironically firing the coaches every two years is what makes Oakland what it is.

Really?

That's it?

Fraid so. You're hardly worth the trouble, you're predictable as the tides, and you step in it every time.

As long as I don't step in your posts, I'll be ok.

Don't know of anything that will wipe that **** off.

No, having a senile, old man running the show is what's made Oakland the mess they are.

That is a valid point, although in Wade's case I do think he deserved to be fired. He is a very good defensive coach, but he obviously doesnt have control of the team, they practice poorly, they lack effort and they have folded down the stretch badly in each of his two seasons. The last 4 1/2quarters of the season was just putrid.

No hiring poor choices for HC because they will not stand up against your decisions or get credit should the team somehow succeed is why they need to keep being fired every two years, making us like Oakland.

Its not like Wade is doing a fantastic job or has given any indication his entire career he will do better.

Hire a good coach, let him hire his assistants and instill his own culture and vision on the team and get out of the way - then you won't have to fire them.

well i for one, think wade should be demoted to defensive coordinator only

as far as the other coaches, that would be up to jerry jones & the new Head Coach

I dont want Holgerom

Shanahan, I kinda ok with

or some young fire breathing head coach

now I know i will get blasted by this, but the person I had in mind was the Giants defensive coordinator, Spagnola, but he got hired a few weeks ago as a head coach

other person i have in mind is Urban, Florida head coach

i know he is a college coach, but look where ever he goes he builds champions, just like jimmy johnson did, im not saying he is a jimmy johnson, but i like him and seemingly all players like him, white and black

The main thing i want, is a Head Coach that will stand up to Jerry Jones, demand discipline on the team, hitting in practice, go back to austin or hot weather and get the team in shape

now thats my view point,

i feel in the era of the new football league, you should be able to show who you are as a head coach by your 3rd year.

In ways you should be given a chance to fix things by your 3rd year or your out.

Now how this relates to wade, he came in here with a team that was basically built for superbowls, but because wade is a softee, not a mans head coach, but a coach cupcake type coach, he has had his chance

with all of the unnamed sources that are blabbing in the locker room, the no hitting in practice the first 25 days in training camp last year, the letting players get off an extra day during the season, just because, oh, you played a good hard game like the cardianal game, so you get this extra day off.

Hogwash, Tom Landry never did that, and Jimmy Johnson didnt either, nor did Don Shula, or Lombardi or Pittsburgh head coach in the 70's.

You dont win slobber smash mouth football, by being a softee head coach and not putting your foot down, thats just the nature of the game

just look at wades history in the playoffs, he has never won a playoff game in 4 playoff games he has been in, never

Now, that says something right there.

now dbair and wileedog both made valid points,

my point being you need a head coach that will stand up to jerry jones, and jerry jones knows it and listens

thats the key,

Exactly, great point.

But thats what makes this situation a lose lose IMO. I have no faith in Wade. If we are going to win a championship, it will be solely because of our talent, and not because of his ability as a coach. I think most of us agree he is a terrible head coach, but a great coordinator. Therefore, I would not be sad if he is fired.

On the flip side, if he's fired we get a new head coach, then we start over with new terminology, scheme, whatever it may be, and like you said, that is what makes Oakland what it is. But if no body believes Wade can do the job, why keep him? For the simple fact that there is so much talent on this team that we can win despite Wade?

Or do we can him, and let someone else take over and put the team through another year of the learning curve. It worked in 07 to some effect.

I dont know about this team. I just dont know anymore.

To an extent. But, if I played in the NFL, I promise you I would not need a Head Coach to motivate me to play as hard as I could play every week. These are grown men, after all. At some point, isn't it up to them to man up?

I'm not Wade's biggest fan, but at some point we have to look at our players and quit letting the HC take all of the blame.

Unfortunately, we have a handful of players who "got their money" and that resignates.

The days or players like Bill Bates are long gone.

the players need to be pushed hard, and made to work no more mr nice guy

no more of this oh, we want to be treated like professionals, well players did you play like professionals in the last game of the season in phily

you sure didnt, so dont give me that hogwash anymore,

your going to work and work hard and your going to study film and hit some more, that is what is needed on this team, a head coach that will push the players, to find out whom the men are, and who the boys are,

get rid of the boys and go with the men that want to win, then improve on that

you dont do that by babying the players

just like players that go and gripe to jerry jones, no more of that either, the buck stops as far as griping, complaining, not working, not studying film, or late for meetings or taking treatment, that all stops with the Head Coach, and the owner jerry jones backs him 100 %
