the players need to be pushed hard, and made to work no more mr nice guy

no more of this oh, we want to be treated like professionals, well players did you play like professionals in the last game of the season in phily

you sure didnt, so dont give me that hogwash anymore,

your going to work and work hard and your going to study film and hit some more, that is what is needed on this team, a head coach that will push the players, to find out whom the men are, and who the boys are,

get rid of the boys and go with the men that want to win, then improve on that

you dont do that by babying the players

just like players that go and gripe to jerry jones, no more of that either, the buck stops as far as griping, complaining, not working, not studying film, or late for meetings or taking treatment, that all stops with the Head Coach, and the owner jerry jones backs him 100 %

Again, you can only push someone so far. At some point, a man must decide to do it himself.

remember when a star player tried to sneak out the back door, and darren woodson caught him, made him sit his rear end down and study film

later another so called star wouldnt work with his teammates in offseasoning conditioning, which is another no no in pro football,

you work hard in OTAs and offseasoning pushing each other, when your not there that says loud and clear to me, you dont really care deep down about working hard in offseason

and when the head coach lets the players not work and hit in practice the first 25 days, and the players go along with it, then they arent professionals

when players gripe and moan and say, oh when we lose a ball game, they run our legs off, thats not being a professional

so you need a tough coach that will work those players period

true, but thats my point wrangler, when those same players are laughing and cutting up on the plane ride back from the roasting they got from the eagles last game of the season

heck, even when jerry jones went in and blasted the coaches and players after the rams loss and the owner jerry jones left, coaches and players were still in that locker room and laughing and cutting up after jones left

thats the problem you see,

when you kick some ones rear end, make them work, eventually in practice you wil see if they really want it or not, then you can find out the men from the boys

and then you get rid of the boys, but like jimmy johnson said Fatigue makes cowards of you and tom landry said, you have to get the players to do something that they dont want to do (meaning hard practice and studying film) to get them to do what they need to do to win,

In Wade's case I do think he deserved to be fired. He is a very good defensive coach, but he obviously doesnt have control of the team.

I'm not so sure that isn't how the owner wants it. Would Jerry then replace him with somebody who actually knew how to get control of the team?

No hiring poor choices for HC because they will not stand up against your decisions or get credit should the team somehow succeed is why they need to keep being fired every two years, making us like Oakland.

Its not like Wade is doing a fantastic job or has given any indication his entire career he will do better.

Hire a good coach, let him hire his assistants and instill his own culture and vision on the team and get out of the way - then you won't have to fire them.

Oh now oyu know what Davis' motivations are. Thats nice. How about you tell us the driving forces behind Owens, Phillips and Jones while were at it since you seem to have it all figured out.

I understand that with JFE, JJT and GAC telling you its so every day that its hard not to buy. I just happen to think that while they do have sources or source they are not in that locker room. Jerry Jones is.

Most of the people who agree with him probably think we should have fired Wade and the rest of the coaching staff, but ironically firing the coaches every two years is what makes Oakland what it is.

It's not the firing of coaches that is the problem, it is the hiring of ineffective coaches to start with.

Lane Kiffen was a very young successful college coach. Wade Phillips was a very old under achieving coach.
