The Patriots have one of the strongest 1-2 wide receiver combinations in the NFL with Randy Moss and Wes Welker. But who's No. 3? The Patriots explored one possibility on a Wednesday free-agent visit at Gillette Stadium -- veteran Joey Galloway. The 37-year-old Galloway has traditionally been regarded for his speed and high yards-per-catch average. Over his 14 seasons with Seattle (1995-99), Dallas (2000-2003) and Tampa Bay (2004-2008), he's averaged 15.5 yards per reception. Last year, he appeared in nine games, with just four starts, and was limited to 13 catches for 138 yards. The Patriots' depth at receiver took a hit when Jabar Gaffney -- the No. 3 option in 2008 -- signed with the Broncos.

The rich would be getting richer. Galloway is still fast and has great hands, would be solid # 2 and a more deadly #3, would be a nice pickup.

Please do not sign with the evil empire.

Come and reunite with Dallas.

I agree, I think Galloway would fit well in Garrett's passing scheme. Plus, he never left on bad terms. It will give him a chance to come to Dallas, now with T.O. gone, and contribute to a championship run.

:lmao:

For the right price he would be a nice compliment here to possibly stretch the field - he still has some pretty good wheels and is not a **** starter in the locker room either. I wouldn't mind having him.

He could help the younger guys as well - especially Austin who is another speed guy.

He wouldn't last 4 weeks he's a dinosaur

Galloway struggled with groin, ankle and foot injuries all year so he may have started the breakdown process. Once his speed starts slipping, he's done in the NFL.

For a minute, I thought they were saying Randy Galloway to New England, I was about to throw a party.
