Game ball goes to Felix Jones. He impressed me tonight, and showed great potential. A for sure upgrade from Julius so far...

Lame Ball - Who else, has to go to Danny Amendola.. just because of the hype, otherwise it would be Brad.. This guy seriously SERIOUSLY needs to retire, LOL did you see all the check downs? I could see Crayton on the ground laughing at Brad's first pass.

I think Bruce Read deserves the lame ball more than Amendola.

Choice/Austin could be in the running for the game ball.

The good:

Felix Jones is the real deal, already better than JuJo after 1 preseason game.

Choice is a good back-up RB as well, just doesnt have the speed of Felix.

Romo kicked *** as usual.

MB3 is worth every penny he got.

Our starting O and D lines are dominant.

Our young corners we drafted looked good as well.


The bad:

We have no backup QB, season is over if Romo gets seriously hurt.

Amendola is overrated, might have cost himself a shot at 53 tonight.

Pacman looked lost out there, probably dropped to #4 CB tonight.

Bennett starting to look like a bust, seems to not be interested in the game.

Game Ball ---> Felix Jones

Lame Ball ----> Bruce Read...special teams sucked...no improvement after all the talk and hype....get rid of this coach if ST do not improve greatly in the second preseason game. I am still concerned and upset at our ST play.


And our secondary did not look as good as advertised. After all the hype I expected us to shut people down....but I did not see anything dominate.

On the other hand, our running backs looked better than I expected...I am really excited about this position.

I agree with everything except Danny Amendola. I read alot of negative stuff on the board today and don't understand the reasoning.

1st- The fumble was a text book tackle, high low combo. The top tackler nailed the ball with his shoulder, fumbles happen. He seemed to have some wiggle and not just another Joe Faircatch.

2nd- He didn't seem to have alot of opportunities at WR, his strong suit supposedly. Got to give him some playing time with a real QB (Tony).

3rd- This is the 1st preseason game, we have to give these guys sometime to showcase whatever talent they might have. It's to early to label overrated/superstar/bluechipper, we (Dallas faithfuls) just need to be patient and let the men separate themselves from the boys. :starspin

It's just 1 preseason game,the first day on the job.Give them untill the 3rd preseason game to get the jitters out.Now for Brad,you new he would do what he did before he took a snap.They better find a qb quick.Don't no if Roma will get it done.The jury is still out on him.I think he's overrated.

Game Balls (after the starters left the field) go to Felix "the Cat" Jones, Tashard Choice and Miles Austin. These three all looked pretty impressive.

Giving no Lame Balls but ST coach Bruce Read's name comes first to mind when I think of them. I'm hoping that they simply have not worked much on ST so far in camp. It's high time they did though.

As for all of the hating on Danny Amendola it is an overreaction; the backlash from all of the hype he has gotten. The fumble was a rookie mistake and he is after all a rookie. He will learn to protect the ball better...and it was a very good tackle that knocked it loose. I was hoping to see more of him at WR but I guess the coaches don't see him getting much game time at that spot. IF he makes the team he will have to do it on our Crappy and under-coached ST units.

Will have to wait till the replay Monday afternoon to comment on 1st team offense and defense, though I did see two series (should have been just one, as they stopped SD again only to give it right back on the Amendola fumble) of the 1st string D

So off what I saw, would say game balls to Austin and F Jones, Choice was pretty solid and liked what I saw from Jenkins and Zack Thomas

Lame balls...Ken Hamlin...you dont get 40 million to draw lousy PI calls when you are in the perfect defense, if not for that play we'd have held them to a FG attempt at worse in all liklihood...2nd team OL...as noted, special teams were just putrid...Read is an awful ST Coach
