Nothing wrong with a good pan sauce. Some demi-glace. You just have to make a sauce that compliments the flavor of the steak, not completely overpowers it and changes the flavor altogether (like A1 does).
 
Stopped in at a supermarket chain - went to their 'wing bar' and packed pieces and nuggets from their 8 flavors into their large box container - then picked a mini salad tray from produce. Also -have set aside some bourbon and a couple of Heinekens to toast former Cowboys Head Coach Jimmy Johnson being inducted into the Franchise Ring Of Honor.
OIdheads who were around back then - reminisce some tonight.
Diehard Youngsters backing, supporting, and cheering the team...hang in there. Your patience will be rewarded soon (2021 - 2023).
 
I am having a sirloin steak cooked/coated with garlic butter, fresh green beans and sliced red peppers with diced beets, (also fresh), a little salt/pepper cooked in olive oil, (the beets have a wonderful taste when mixed with the green beans. Potato wedges cooked in the oven with a mix of bread crumbs and parmesan cheese, and olive oil sprinkled on them...salt and pepper to taste. Healthy and just darn good.

I know some will not have time to prepare a Beat the Eagles feast since it's a work day but I think some pre planners might have spent a useless Sunday, because the Cowboys weren't playing, firing up the grill or smoker so they're all ready for tonight.

I smoked a pork butt yesterday, pulled that rascal last night so I can pull for the Cowboys tonight without spending too much time with vittles. I also made Yukon Gold mustard potato salad which is like having a huge deviled egg. Going to wash that down with Texas brew, Shiner Blonde. Made some Jalapeno Margaritas for the pregame.

First division game of the season is always special and starting with the Eagles instead of the 0-3 Giants is a nice change. The WFT is 1-2 as will the Eagles be in about 15 hours and the Cowboys will hold the lead in the division, one that they will not relinquish.

So, what's on the food and beverage agenda for this eve?

Amazing at your age you can still eat all of that . I’d go into cardiac arrest. Lol
