Game Positives

I know this is a very heartbreaking loss (should I be this used to it already?) but there were some good things that came out of the game.

Matt McBriar - He very well could be the MVP of our team at the end of the year. Am I glad he is on our team, now if we could just use the field position he gives us we would be in better shape.

Rob Petitti - Overall I would have to say he had a good game and seems to be improving. He also cut down on mental mistakes. He looks to be a keeper and hopefully a good one.

Pass Blocking - I was generally impressed with the pass blocking the entire night, Bledsoe had time more than not and there were a few times where I was yelling at Bledsoe because he threw the ball away with no one coming near him. Part of this may be attributed to the fact that the Commanders didn't blitz as much after half time but in general Bledsoe had time.

Terry Glenn - The man still has it and proved to me tonight how important he still is. He has the hands, and still has some speed. I'm glad he is on our team, even without the win.

Defense - Alot of people are screaming for Zimmer's head but I don't see it. Up untill the middle of the 4th quarter many of you would have given Zimmer a game ball. Take back two pass plays and overall it was a good defensive effort. A FF, Int, (almost 2) and 5 sacks are something I'm not used to and would love to continue to see.

Most people blame Zimmer for 4th quarter collapses. Players just seem to be out of position sometimes. I'm beginning to agree with them.

Madden gave a shout out to Pettiti too, and we know how Madden likes "his guys", aka, his man love for larry allen.

Pettiti did play a good game, Pittdawg should be very proud.

I would prefer to be kicked in the face than the nads, but thats just my preference.

Overall we played a good game. I still think the Defense is going to get better as the season rolls on, still too new in the scheme. It horrible that we let that game get away.

There are no positive in losing, especially like that. This should be a lesson never to sit on a lead (although it won't be,because the conservative play calling will continue). We should have went for the kill up 10 in scoring range but let bad playcalling and penalties ruin the day.

One positive was that the camera manged to find Cowboy Cheerleaders at the right time. Everytime I was getting upset, the camera would flash to the girls and I'd be OK for a minute.

No the O did not. The offensive team has some new faces as well.......QB. It will take a few games for them to be that well oiled machine we all want it to be.

Yeah, I was really enjoying the game for 56 minutes and 14 seconds.

We were 3:46 away from shutting them out, and we end up losing. That sucks. I think Parcells and Payton let the players down a little bit. We needed to be playing for another score in the 2nd half, instead we played not to lose, we played ball-control and field position, and it didn't work.

The offense had a pretty good game against a very good defense. The defense had a good game, excpet for a handful of plays against a very poor offense.
