People keep commenting on having 2 weeks to prepare...that's overrated. The game plan is the game plan, and it still depends on a bit of guesswork based on film. The game plan isn't working because the Eagles aren't doing what we expected...they aren't coming out with the same plan they had last time...duh.

The Eagles are playing much more physically than we are...they are taking it to us on both sides of the ball. They are physically whipping us up front, and they are taking Glenn out of the game. We didn't seem to make very good adjustments at halftime either.

Early in the first half it appeared Bledsoe was not having one of his most accurate nights, and the OL aren't staying with their blocks in the running game. The Eagles are playing with all the fire, and we seem to be going through the motions.

Parcells buried his brother today, and it shows...he doesn't seem to be into the game either...understandable.

It's not over, but we're being outcoached, outhustled, and outhit.

I think we'll need a big big play to get back into this one, and then we'll have to hope it fires everyone up enough to help the defense. Pretty sad that they're moving the ball up and down the field on us with Westbrook running, short passes to the TEs and Westbrook and McNabb eluding our DL easily.

We always seem flat in opening games and after byes....why?

Wow....big play = Eagles blitzing one more time and Bledsoe hitting Glenn with the long TD when it seemed unlikely. Defense steps upand finally puts a little pressure on and Roy makes one of his few plays in the game for the winner...unbelievable to finally get exactly what we needed to win.

We were still outplayed and outcoached the entire game, but we've given at least 2 away...nice to be on the receiving end and actually make the plays to get the win.

Barber fumbles and fall down on it in a crowd to save the game. Our CB gets burned badly, losing the ball, but gets back to knock the ball out of the WRs hands when he is a little unsure with the catch. They come sooooooo close to ruining our ending with a FG anyway, and we have to depend on a kicker finally breaking the curse and missing a FG against us to preserve the win. Wow...when was the last time all the final breaks went our way???

Now we just have to take care of business in Dallas next week vs. Detroit, and we'll all be able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.

I still think it's inexcusable for Parcells to be surprised that the Eagles ran the ball.

Yes, you can only study what you see on film, but it seemed like we had absolutey zero gameplan to stop the run.

I tend to sound more intelligent in these one-sided affairs, Sarge :).

haha...that's after a night's rest, CB. Even after we tied the game, I felt it was pretty clear all night that we were not about to turn the game around...we were dominated and manhandled on both sides of the ball, along with being outcoached as we had no answers for them.

It was every bit as unlikely a win for us as the earlier Monday night had been for the Commanders. A road win like that in Philly is to be cherished for sure. Now, hopefully we can dominate at home vs. Detroit and play more physically.
