It was a bad challenge no doubt but really had no impact on this game ....unless you count the expletives I blurted out

Yeah I think it's just the principle.

Absolutely everyone knew that was a dumb idea.

It just once again showed his lack of feel, which is sad because he had a great "go for it" moment in 4th down on the same drive.

Jason Garrett has one of the best challenge records in the NFL.

It sure as heck doesn't seem like it. But to be fair, we watch him all the time and see greater faults.

With that said, it wasn't the challenge flag.

The play was close.

It was the timing. If it really was that close in Garrett's head, he should trust that his offense can punch it in from a foot out.

That is the likely outcome against a ravaged Bears defense that had been gashed a few times already.

Why risk a timeout, and even worse a challenge, on something that ultimately had a high chance of not mattering? Especially that early?

Here's the equation...

People don't like JG + JG does something they don't like = JG always does the thing they don't like.

Pretty much.

Or they hear each and every challenge debated to death in here each week and think because of that all his challenges are questionable.

Has he offered any sort of explanation for that ridiculous challenge on the Witten play? Might be the worst challenge ever.

I was more upset he didn't challenge the first down call on Elliott in the 3rd period. He clearly got the first down, I believe it was a 3rd and 4 play.

I actually feel that almost every time he throws the flag, he makes the correct decision. I felt he goofed on Sunday, but it was early in the game, and could potentially have been a TD.

Maybe Jerry will insist on Garrett getting himself some glasses.

Who knows, it might be one of his best decisions in a while. ;)

I'd prefer Jerry accelerate his training of Garrett in the realm of the challenge flag.

It is SO stupid. Bellichek probably has 3 guys watching the replays and calling down to him if he should challenge or not and we have our head coach guessing.
To me it just amounted to aTO..that was all.

DAK got to go to the sidelines and talk about the call play and boom..

we scored.

So no wasted TO and it's all good.

You guys obsess too much.

Have not had too much issue with the calls that he does challenge - more so with the ones that he doesn't.

I think Garrett had a good view and he just made a impulse decision without getting enough information.

No, if it cost us a chance to use a 3rd challenge late in the game when you could change the whole outcome of a game then you would see a lot of guys "obsess" on here, yourself included.
