Archer asked about the PUP/IR circumstance and Garrett was noncommittal saying it had not been decided yet. He then said that Spencer and Okoye were not ready to practice yet. He then fielded inquiries on specific players. He cleared Matt Johnson and then when asked about Leary said that they were going to have to wait and see.

An injury could seriously derail Leary's bid to hold onto the starting job but I really have no more information that the above. Anyone heard anything more specific?

Yeah, I hadn't heard anything about an injury. Is there concern of a suspension from the DUI?

What about his degenerative knee, maybe it is playing up already. Remember, they were planning on drafting a guard with that 2nd or 3rd pick if they had not traded up. Maybe they know more than they are letting on.

First time I heard of any health issues about Leary, other than his knee. Is there any other issues?
Explains the signing of Nwanari. Well we did need some depth on the OL anyway.

You would think SOMEONE in the media would have posted about an injury

I thought I was the only one who had no clue about a Leary injury...

Of course he is being coy and not letting out too much info. He is a HC, that is what they do...now you add into the fact that gingers are evil and wala you have your answer....Don't trust Ginger HCs to tell you the truth.

You can't be suspended per CBA for first time DUI.

If there is a problem, it is likely related to injury.

I'm fairly certain that he practiced in all of the OTAs. The injury would have to have occurred between then and now.

His condition (OCD) is generally not "degenerative". It is likely to be all of nothing. He could be fine for 10 years like Jonathan Vilma who has the same condition or it could pop and he would be done for at least a year or possibly for his career. If it's pops they would likely try micro-fracture surgery, but that is not always successful.

Leary did have a minor knee issue in TC last year, but it was in the "good" knee.

I am confused.

From everything I recall...his knee condition was degenerative and that was the main reason he went undrafted. When did his condition turn from the majority of reports I have ever read of being degenerative to not being degenerative. Or are you just talking about the specific injury that is going on right now that has nothing to do with that one?
