is there ANY among you who would not go ahead and resign Garrett to an extension? NFC East Champs in a season when most (certainly me) thought we'd go 5-11 at best?

Even if you don't like him, there is a whole lot of "if it ain't broke" goin' on.

This is looking like an elite team right now. I wouldn't mess with it at all right now.

SO STOKED!!!

I cant stand him- but honestly he has done a great job this year.

I think we have more quality wins than almost everyone in the league.

Don't like him much either but he deserves an extension, kudos to a job well done but he isn't finished yet!

I haven't been the biggest Garrett fan but he is earning his stripes. This season was critical for him and the team plays hard for him. Not much more you can ask. He's done a great job. Success tends to win people over, not rocket science..

Players seem to respect him and play hard for him. I say keep him until that changes.

Props to Garrett. I just want to win. Stars aligned. Linehan and the O Line have done wonders for the offense. Marinelli has done a great job with spare parts. Most importantly the team seems to be playing its best ball at the end of the year.

You show up, you get rewarded. He finished this year off strong, so I have no qualms about him getting extended.

I know I have not been a big fan of garrett but he did a great job today getting the team ready to play and take care of a playoff spot. now he needs to win a playoff game to win me over to his side.

Before this season I didn't like...
1. His pass happy play calling.
2. His clock management.

The only thing I did like about him was that he seems to have us drafting much better and making the right kind of personnel moves. I think Jerry trusts his opinion more than past coaches and they are making good move after good move.

Now that he doesn't call plays, which seems to have given him more time to think through clock management issues, his true talent as a coach is able to show through....leading men. He is a FANTASIC leader. These guys will follow him to the end of the earth. I have done a complete 180 on Jason Garrett this year and I am ready to see him signed long term. I think bringing in an offensive coordinator to call the plays changed everything. Well, that and Zack Martin.

still do not think that he is much above average. But have to give him props with the two tons of dead weight called Jerruh tied to his ankle 24/7/365

I never hated Garrett but I understood how some people would prefer we move on from him. I don't believe he was actually ready to be a head coach at the time he was given that role. It seemed for a while there he would make some mistake that actually affected games in a negative way. Its rare for that to happen with a coach and yet somehow it happened far too often with him.

But like players, coaches do get better with experience. Since then he has really come into his own and I no longer worry about him making poor decisions that could cost the Cowboys a game. I don't know how much input on this he really has but I like that we are FINALLY running the ball more. I also like the positive culture he has instituted on the team.

I think he has shown a lot of progress and see no reason why we should not give him another shot. Especially considering we stuck with him through all of his growing pains as a coach. Its seem like a boneheaded move to not try to reap those rewards now.

He's been here 7 years as an offensive coordinator and head coach, and still don't think he's head coaching material..

That was a big game to end the regular season with. Extend him.

I have never been a big JG fan due to his clock management/play calling blunders and the fact I believe this team deserves a top notch HC and not just one who can coexist with Jerry.
Having said that, he is starting to earn respect with his ability to lead this team and win.
The old saying is that winning cures all ills applies to this situation.
