garrett is NOT in their league or even close to it and only a true gomer would claim otherwise. This is his first WINNING SEASON. HOW MANY DID LANDRY HAVE? HOW MANY DOES BELICEK HAVE?

Garrett has as many winning seasons in his first four years as a HC as Belichick had, and 1 more than Landry had. Now, I'm not putting Garrett in their class, but comparing coaches who've had 20+ years to one who's only had 4 is a bit slanted.

I am afraid this season has all of the makings of 2007, and I hope I am wrong.

Perhaps, but the mentality of this team is different. That team acted as if they had already won something. They stumbled somewhat in December. This team is digging in.

I hope you're wrong, too.

I don't understand how so many can not like a former Cowboys player as coach of our dallas cowboys. He's young, smart and tough.

Never been a fan of Garrett as HC. But, he has the Cowboy pedigree from being Aikman's backup in the 90s and I don't forget that. The players seem to respond to him and trust him. He is an effective administrator with his coordinators and coaches. He's navigated the Cape Fear of NFL owners more skillfully than his predecessors. As a few others above have opined, I don't see how you deny an extension after the regular season. How long is the question.

Extension is warranted. I think the team overachieved and that is usually a reflection of coaching. Nothing looked like luck
