The 1st team defense is getting to go against a 4 time Pro Bowler as the Scout team QB...that alone will be invaluable to both the defense and Romo. Despite scout team being told where to throw no matter the coverage, Romo will probably check out of plays as well to give them exactly what Big Ben would do in that situation. His improvisation will be good for the defense to see as well. He is gonna give that defense fits! LOL!

If Jerry just inserts Romo because he's healthy, it'll be the biggest mistake he's made as a GM.

As long as Dak keeps playing well it's a mistake I can't see Jerry or the organization making. The longer we go into the season the less likely Romo sees the field unless Dak gets injured. The toughest part of our schedule is coming up with the Steelers, Ravens, Commanders, Vikings and Giants and the last thing we want to be doing is making a transition from a QB who's playing great football to one who hasn't played a regular season game in a year and is bound to be very rusty. Our season could start coming apart real quick if our QB isn't sharp and starts turning the ball over.

Its hilarious to see people say they are scared if Romo dresses or plays. Hahahahahahhaha. Yeah you should be terrified if a HOF type talent may get to play again. So scared you should be.

The end of every season since 2006 has ended like a HORROR STORY ... so yeah!... I'm not joking. I fully supported Romo every year. He's a good QB and a wonderful person. Any discussion of HOF is very generous however. It's not hatred for Romo or questioning his heart/skills. It's the injuries, the missed time and failure every season any way you slice it. It's our current wave of success and not wanting to shoot ourselves disturbing it. It's loving this new direction, energy and hope and not going back to our old ways. Cowboy haters are waiting in the wings JUST STARVING for us to go back to the last decade and stop looking like The Patriots. To be fair.. there will also be an enormous amount of pressure placed on Tony's shoulders should he start again not to mention the strange message it'll send through the lockeroom. Tony will be in a tough, tough position. I don't dislike Tony but I just see it ending horribly.

Not the attitude I anticipated. Sounds like he wants the ball now, not later, regardless of momentum and winning streak. Disappointing.

Really? Disappointing would be if he wasn't eager to play. It would mean he had lost all competitiveness and desire for the game. Chomping on the bit is what you want.

One of them needs to sit at some point. If you're going to play Dak including next year then the rest of the league needs to see Tony play because you need to trade him.

My guess is Romo will come in if Dak struggles or we get a decent lead.

bottom line is , it is insane to replace a 7-1 qb !
It doesnt matter who is on the bench ready.
If it was rodgers or brady, on the bench I would say the same thing, stick with the guy who got you to 7-1 !
It doesnt have to be permanent, next year is a new year, but for this season stick the guy who is winning 7 games in a row !
No other qb in nfl this year has won 7 in a row, and they all play bad and good teams.
Witten just had his best game since 2013,
Beasely is having his best year. etc etc.

All this talk of tony ready to play needs to be stopped.
If dak goes to 12-1 and then they put tony in, and lets say he takes the team to the SB, will anyone think he earned it?
And then if he fails, that is a missed SB win for dallas, and witten etc.
I would put tony on the shelf till 2017 unless dak gets hurt.

I know what you mean. I want players who want to ride the bench while collecting millions - people who want to play have no place on this team.

To coin a phrase from Shaquille O'Neal, I am going to start referring to you as "the Master of Panic".

I agree with you but herein lies the issue. Tony is not these guys. He doesn't have the resume. There is something fundamentally wrong with Romo led teams. We've had a large enough sample size. How many times do you bash your head in to a brick wall?

well I am just tired of hearing about romo, and I like romo, I just dont see the value in jones or JG saying this stuff.
All they should say is right now dak is our starter, and romo is doing what he needs to do.
I feel like daks status as starter is "day by day" lol
