They're gonna keep pushing it off. The media is going to blow it up either way. Today werder reports he just was cleared but then it comes out he's been cleared for weeks.

True dat...but most Dak lovers are Romo lovers too

Precisely... it's just a matter of hating the fact that our haters seem to always get the last laugh for so long. Romo feels like being stuck on an ex for too long when another direction is staring you right in the face. I've lived and died with Romo every Sunday since 2006. I'll always respect him and root for him despite the fact that I'm an advocate to keep rolling with Dak.

You're being unrealistic. If Tony doesn't play this year at all, then he's done in Dallas. Period. If he does play, then there's a chance that he comes back. There's a chance they have an open competition. There's a chance he's released in the offseason.

But there is absolutely NO chance he returns if he doesn't take the field this year as a starter.

But to counter your point, I think Romo's 10 years of service has earned him the right to start again and finish this season out. That said, I'm just riding the wave.
I dont think tony would be finished here if he doesnt play.
If they let dak go to the end you dont know how it would turn out.
They also might like to see how tony does with elliot, next year, just like this year.

I may be unrealistic, I tend to think differently than most lol.

Fact is should Romo return to the lineup he will be under extreme pressure to perform at an all pro level. He will not be given much slack by fans and media. I think right now the best thing he can do is continue working hard to get himself physically and mentally ready to go so that when his number is called he can perform at that high level.

Acually if our season's form holds, we will run the ball well, play good defense, and ask the QB to do very little.

The 1st team defense is getting to go against a 4 time Pro Bowler as the Scout team QB...that alone will be invaluable to both the defense and Romo. Despite scout team being told where to throw no matter the coverage, Romo will probably check out of plays as well to give them exactly what Big Ben would do in that situation. His improvisation will be good for the defense to see as well. He is gonna give that defense fits! LOL!

Had to pull a move similar to one of my favorite posters @Risen Star and third person my own post. Shout out to Risen for paving the way!

Just read the two articles in the Newsfeed Zone regarding Romo playing scout team QB. Sean Lee and Brandon Carr said exactly what I wrote earlier. The writers echoed my sentiments as well. This will help both the Defense and Romo.

As you were Zoners...lol

Regardless if you're a Romo fan or Dak fan.

The first thing you need to be a fan of, is the Cowboys.

With that being said, we are doing damn good right now, don't **** with it, unless it show's it needs to be ****ed with.

And yet, Romo is purported to be the 'guy' to take us further.

If Romo was 7-1, would you really be sitting there saying there is no 'the guy'?

Yes.

Romo could be the guy playing QB that gives the team the best chance to win but it will always take the team as a whole to get it done.

What? Lol. What part of "we have 2 above average QBs" do you not comprehend? Dak is a rookie, so he is still more than likely going to crap the bed for a couple of games, and Romo will more than likely get a chance to start again, but let's see how it will play out. No rookie QB has every won the SB, so the odds are better with "2 playoff win Romo" than a rookie historically. But let's see. If we keep mauling people with our running game, either one of these QBs could potentially win a SB. But odds are if we make it that far Romo will be our starter.

55 snaps, three major injuries. Romo has two playoff wins, we are not talking about Joe Montana here though many people seem to think he is the reincarnation.
I like Romo, he is a very good qb and seems to be a great person, but I would rather win or lose with the future than hit reverse and hope the broken down qb somehow finds his fountain of youth.

What's broken down?

Two neck surgeries and a bad back is broken.....a guy who can't perform on a short rest is broken, a guy who can't practice all week is broken or injured one or the other.

Romo had neck surgery? I wouldn't say from what I know that Romo has a bad back. He had a broken vertebrae but that is healed. He's played without known dysfunction since his minor back surgery. If he has no significant pain or dysfunction, which it appears he doesn't by seeing him throw and practice, then he's over the broken vertebrae.

He's missed more than I'd like but none of it has been career threatening. He's healed and the only reason he's not playing is Dak is playing well enough for us to win.

He's healed, was healed first two times apparently and that didn't stop him from a third within 55 snaps of the first.

I just don't get why people are so obsessed with bringing him back. For all the brilliant in-game management his last regular season performance was against a contender and he three three picks before leaving for guess what? I can care less that he can read defenses, I care more that Dak plays within himself and doesn't turn it over. If he starts to do that, fine bring in Romo but until that happens I ride with the young one as long as he can take them.
