True dat...but most Dak lovers are Romo lovers too
I dont think tony would be finished here if he doesnt play. You're being unrealistic. If Tony doesn't play this year at all, then he's done in Dallas. Period. If he does play, then there's a chance that he comes back. There's a chance they have an open competition. There's a chance he's released in the offseason.
But there is absolutely NO chance he returns if he doesn't take the field this year as a starter.
But to counter your point, I think Romo's 10 years of service has earned him the right to start again and finish this season out. That said, I'm just riding the wave.
Fact is should Romo return to the lineup he will be under extreme pressure to perform at an all pro level. He will not be given much slack by fans and media. I think right now the best thing he can do is continue working hard to get himself physically and mentally ready to go so that when his number is called he can perform at that high level.
The 1st team defense is getting to go against a 4 time Pro Bowler as the Scout team QB...that alone will be invaluable to both the defense and Romo. Despite scout team being told where to throw no matter the coverage, Romo will probably check out of plays as well to give them exactly what Big Ben would do in that situation. His improvisation will be good for the defense to see as well. He is gonna give that defense fits! LOL!
And yet, Romo is purported to be the 'guy' to take us further. There is no "the guy." There are 50 or so guys, coaches, trainers, etc. that have got the team to 7-1.
The Joker ?As long as Romo isn't Robin!!
Are you not a Dak lover, Kazuya?
Wow! It's about to get dicey, Nirvana
And yet, Romo is purported to be the 'guy' to take us further.
If Romo was 7-1, would you really be sitting there saying there is no 'the guy'?
What? Lol. What part of "we have 2 above average QBs" do you not comprehend? Dak is a rookie, so he is still more than likely going to crap the bed for a couple of games, and Romo will more than likely get a chance to start again, but let's see how it will play out. No rookie QB has every won the SB, so the odds are better with "2 playoff win Romo" than a rookie historically. But let's see. If we keep mauling people with our running game, either one of these QBs could potentially win a SB. But odds are if we make it that far Romo will be our starter.
55 snaps, three major injuries. Romo has two playoff wins, we are not talking about Joe Montana here though many people seem to think he is the reincarnation.
I like Romo, he is a very good qb and seems to be a great person, but I would rather win or lose with the future than hit reverse and hope the broken down qb somehow finds his fountain of youth.
The qb do very little? Dak is doing alot. Where do y'all get this STUPID narratives from?Acually if our season's form holds, we will run the ball well, play good defense, and ask the QB to do very little.
What's broken down?
Two neck surgeries and a bad back is broken.....a guy who can't perform on a short rest is broken, a guy who can't practice all week is broken or injured one or the other.
Romo had neck surgery? I wouldn't say from what I know that Romo has a bad back. He had a broken vertebrae but that is healed. He's played without known dysfunction since his minor back surgery. If he has no significant pain or dysfunction, which it appears he doesn't by seeing him throw and practice, then he's over the broken vertebrae.
He's missed more than I'd like but none of it has been career threatening. He's healed and the only reason he's not playing is Dak is playing well enough for us to win.
