Between Garrett's and Jones's comments, we won't be drafting a future franchise QB in the draft, when he is there for the selection.
Which means we will spend 10 years looking for a QB off the waiver wire, or an UDFA needle in the haystack find.

:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Note to FO...DRAFT a QB, let him learn for 2 years, as Romo has no more than 2 years left, if not injured again.
This will not be wasting money on a big contract. A 1st round pick is under contract for 5 years.....Still plenty of time, even if tony plays 3 years.

That's because you have a hatred for the coaching staff. All great players are influenced by those around them. While I agree that Bill had a big role in the early life of Romo, over the last 5 years, he has really became elite, a top 5 QB. And while he does get credit for that and I am sure he put in the hours of self study and work to get better, to think he did it all on his own is rather foolish and I think Garrett has had a big influence on him, especially with slowing the game down and understanding the situations. Without completely removing the magic that is Romo.

Excellent post but it falls on blind eyes.

It's Groundhog Day all over again.

Jerry's personal feelings for players has set us back many times by both hanging on to them and overpaying them (you're welcome Marion Barber, etc). I could not understand for the life of me why he didn't shave somebody in line behind Troy at least two years before his end.

....and there goes the alarm clock.
