No, but one more playoff victory this year puts him right there IMO.

Really Fox, he was mediocre in Carolina, lucked out with Peyton in Denver, he will be horrible in Chicago. I know why Carroll is that high but I think it is more his assistants, than it is him. I wonder how well he will do when his assistants start getting promotions through out the league.

He only has 1 playoff win, and if you count the end of season win and in games , he is 1-4 in big games
Only 1 winning season.
this year will let us know more about his HC abilitys.

1-4 in "big" games? So Seattle wasn't a big game, or 4-0 in December? He has had us in big games that we have won before. He had to rebuild the entire team only having a few players like Romo and Witten that he kept. He got rid of over priced vets and built through the draft. He took over a 1-7 team and went 5-3. While I agree he needs to prove more to dismiss what he has already done is foolish. Changing coordinators and schemes all in the process.

Garrett has built this team to succeed and contend for many years and I expect a successful season this year

After looking at the list i would say there are some way too low, I put Reid above Chipster, How is Del Rio not a the bottom, Zimmer is probably where he is because he is 1st year coach. The list should be called the NFL headcoach list the logic and reasoning on where the coaches are placed is well beyond debate for most of the coaches.

START getting promotions? Bradley is the HC in Jacksonville and Atlanta just took his most recent DC Dan Quinn.

You mean he rebuilt a team he inherited that had Future HOF's, Pro Bowl players, and a top 5 QB and in that rebuild he went 8-8, 3 yrs in a row missing the playoffs and losing the division title when it was right there to be had with ONE victory at the end of each season while this team blew at least 2 winnable games that were basically wins in the bag each of those years?

Last year was a good year for sure. Lets see how things go from here before we get out the anointing oil . . .

Things look good for the future, but its still has to happen . .

They were not quite the daunting defense last year it took them about half the season to get sorted out. Not to mention they seem to be having some of that "I have a championship time to go get paid" mentality from some of their players. That of course is to be expected if you are not part of the "core" of the team. It will also be interesting what will happen when they give Wilson his contract and may have to let a core player walk in return. I think Carroll is a good coach but top 5, don't think so.

Witten is the only future hall of famer on this team as it stands now, maybe Romo if he looked at in the Dan Fouts light. The Ol got old quick and had to be completely overhauled, DL was approaching the same level, RB were avg, Dez was a head case. This team was lucky it didn't hit 5-10 the first two years.

Next you'll tell me he had it harder than Tom Landry did with an expansion team . . . . . .

Facts are easily turned into excuses for the anti- Garrett crowd.

I never thought i would say it...but probably.

If he gets this team playing good ball again this year...i would say absolutely.

He definitely seems to be getting this head coaching stuff.
