Whats wrong with you people? McCarthy being a poor coach in no way vindicates Garrett. You do realize that they can both stink, right?

This team hasn’t had a quality coach since Bill Parcells. Wade was a fine defensive coach. And the team has only had three good coaches in the franchise’s history: Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells. That’s it.

Yep the year of the Cassel trade when Romo went down the Cowboys were 4-12. Looking like a 2 to 5 win season here too. Only difference is the D was average, while the offense scored the 31st most points.

I guess like most of you on this site, you suffer from memory less beyond a few games.
The problems were there last year as well with a healthy o-line and Dak at QB, they were just disguised by a few blowout wins.
A healthy offense last year lost to the winless Jets, got beat handily by the Bills and could do nothing against a depleted Eagles defence playing players that were stacking shelves at Home-Depot the week before.

Not making excuses but McCarthy inherited this garbage from the JG era.

 

Regardless, from what I've seen from this division, it's the Giants to lose. I think in the end, Giants win the division.

Have you considered that this is still basically "Garret's guys"? MM didn't build this train wreck of a roster. He didn't piss away mega dollars on Jaylon Smith and Zeke. And oh yeah, he's playing his 3rd string 7th round rookie QB. Garret is doing what in NY? Aside from the Cowboy game, he's leading a bottom 3 offense.

 

Just stop. Historically bad. That's what a McCarthy Cowboy team is. There is no defense for McCarthy. If anything, you can argue Garrett kept them at least average.

 

Garret wasn't coaching the defense. The argument your making is Marinelli over Nolan. Both MM and Garret leave the defense to the DC. Their expertise is on the offensive side......which is why I wanted a HC with a defensive background.
