Gary Horton: When I watch Manning on film, I'm struck by the fact they really seem to be simplifying this offense. He doesn't appear to be reading the entire field. He has big, physical targets in the passing game that allow him to look at his first option and throw it up for grabs. Much like Big Ben who got great production when he was in trouble. I think his confidence in his receiver and cutting down his reads are really building his confidence and allowing him to utilize his physical gifts.

With such a simplistic pass attack, you would think that a good game plan and a defense with some playmakers can do lots of damage against their offense.

This gives me some more optimism about our defense's chances to stop them, and you know our O can put up some points on their beat up defense

With last year's Newman and Frazier, these kind of games put a knot in my stomach, a year ago.

Now, with this year's Newman, Anthony Henry, and Aaron Glenn, I have confidence that we can styme their passing attack and keep Barber under control.

What a difference a year makes... particularly if you acquire as much defensive talent as we did.
