Well, Dez has complimented our db rookies.
I think that can be taken two ways. He is very loyal to the cowboys we know. He is still recruiting Revis if the Media is to be believed. I like our rook picks but they are going to be rooks all year which means some bonehead plays are bound to happen(Jeff Heath his rookie year). I am very happy about the talk about Anthony Brown playing like a cagey vet, that means so much. The story this year will once again be about Dak, Zeke, and hopefully Dez/Beas/Switzer. Coach Rod will need to have another stellar year till the team matures into his philosophies and strategies. Going to be some great games against the Giants this year.

Big contributions often come from players that most people didn't talk about in the off-season. Maliek Collins and Anthony Brown are examples from last year. Brown could be in that category again this year with a lot of focus on the rookies draft picks.

He got frustrated because that's a big miss. Blow a blitz pick up and see how long the Cowboys will keep you. Especally someone trying to stick the 53. He have TC and preseason to redeem himself. I bet if he blows another blitz pick up especially in presason he may be out.

Not worried about the meltdown, if it's true. I'm sure he has A LOT coming at him.
That said, I can't help but think this guy is at least a year away from being ready.
At this point he might have learned what he would gotten in high school, maybe one year of college level.
Another year on the practice squad and he might be ready for 2018.

I'm not worried either, at least, not at this early juncture in his career. Most RBs and TEs coming out of college have trouble adjusting to professional blocking at first and have to adjust to improving their techniques for a good while before mastering it. With Gathers having come from a basketball background, the developmental adjustment is far more pronounced than it would be for a TE who had previous experience at the position in college. In that regard, Rico's development should be deemed one that might understandably be extended longer than most.

He threw his helmet?????

Oh no.

Next he'll wear his hat backwards, and Good Gosh Forbid, become addicted to...Crownies.

Watch out Rico for the pusher man.

It sounds like a good thing to me.

1. He is not blaming someone else.

2. He cares about getting it right which is far better than being focused on other field stuff.

3. There are two basic types of frustration for Cowboys players:
a. The Witten/Lee type of frustration that comes from putting a lot of effort into something which exacerbates the emotion when you make a mistake.

b. The Dez type frustration where you feel entitled to success. The DB always holds me or it was the refs fault, not mine in Green Bay that I was too dumb to just secure the catch before going for the glory of making a TD.
Man how did you get access to the locker room? This is some very detailed analysis about Dez that I can only imagine you garnered from sit down talks with the man.

Well I think we all knew he had a steep learning curve... It's truly a process with this young man, I am practicing patience. I read where our favorite guy Broaddus was already declaring him somewhat of a longshot to make the team this year. Broaddus can't really be trusted though lol.

Hopefully Broaddus will proclaim him terrible and a likely cut. That will mean that he is going to have an All-Pro season.

Ask Broaddus about Darrion Weems and how he was going to be a great swing Tackle and eventual replacement for Doug Free...

Weems was active a grand total of 1 game with zero starts after Broaddus made that proclamation.

Your favorite sports radio personalities pimped Brown incessantly. Maliek Collins was widely discussed as a player that dropped and has a real opportunity to contribute thus the disappointment when he went down early in camp.

X isn't all bad but on certain subjects like Dez, whoever he wants to replace Doug Free, and Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation it's just best to ignore him.
