A try-hard blocker, but doesn't do a good job of staying squared up and gets ragdolled a bit. The effort's there, so maybe Dallas can work with that and his size to get him up to Witten's level as a blocker.

You can definitely see the deceptive speed that some have described. He eats up yardage in long strides.

Thanks Fuzzy. You have to love his hands. Hopefully 3rd time really will be a charm for our 2nd round TEs.

He's a good TE prospect. We just didn't need to use a 2nd on a TE with better value players available at positions of need.

It's clear that the FO is trying to give Romo everything he needs to succeed. Not a bad strategy when you just invested 120 million in him as your franchise QB.

Back to Escobar-- although I don't like the pick for us this season b/c we could use the resources to address more pressing needs-- give the kid 3 years with Witten and he could be a pro bowl player for us.

He seems to move well and have good speed for a guy his size, who didn't time all that well. The hands, though. He's clearly the best looking receiving threat out of our second round TEs. His body movement too while catching the ball looks like a veteran NFL receiver. He's just a natural at it.

Have seen many rpts that he just may be the best receiving TE in this class, I really like this pick boys.

I can see Escobar leading the team in holding penalties, if he is ever used in the running game. He catches everything thrown his way, which is good.

It'll be tough for him to be more penalized than Witten. That would be an accomplishment.

I know these are highlight, but he made a ton of difficult catches and made them look easy. He reaches out for the ball and very rarely had one get into his body. I love his pass-catching ability. His run-blocking in that BSU game left a lot to be desired, though.

Need or not, at least we are drafting football players rather than just athletes these days.
