I think we're 1-4 with him doing our games. He did the Cowboys/Saints earlier in the season I believe.

He's also a College Bball ref. He did the Minnesota/Ohio State game last night. Guy is solid IMO.

There is absolutely zero chance the Cowboys won't get shafted on the calls this week. ZERO chance. One, the game is in Green Bay. No one but the Packers get calls in Green Bay under normal circumstances. Two, the league will make sure they are not further under the microscope of people claiming Cowboys bias.

We are going to have to not only play better, but cleaner than we ever have to win.

My thoughts exactly.

good ref, probably one of my favorites. that being said the tone has been set this week for the cowboys to get shafted in this game. if i'm rodgers, i throw it up "eli style" a few times during the game knowing i'm going to get a call if the cowboys aren't in perfect position.

I think it will be a tightly called game for both sides. The NFL wouldn't want to just make calls against Dallas, that would look too much like make-up calls for the last game and invite more controversy. At least we can use the frozen/numb body parts excuse if we accidentally stomp a Packer player, apparently that's OK.

The Cowboys will get shafted in your mind only. Worry about stuff like this and thinking this is going to happen because we got a call last week is silly.

You can have your opinion. I am entitled to mine. The NFL has shown over the years it is a make-up call league. Statistical trends have shown countless times over the years that home teams generally get the benefit of the calls, particularly in such storied locales. The NFL has also shown, particularly under Goodell a propensity to over-compensate for backlash. Like the ludicrous amount of attention one call (now two) has gotten.

I am not worried about it one bit though. I have said in several threads we will be in this game with a chance to win it at the end. I think we match up more favorably with the Packers than the Lions, no matter where/when the game is played. The better team will win this game regardless.

Make up call within the same game sure. The next week not so much. If that was the case some of the great controversial calls in NFL history would have come back to haunt the Titans(lateral), Pats(tuck rule), Steelers(immaculate reception), etc. That stuff doesn't happen that much if at all.

The key is to make sure the game doesn't come down to a "make-up" call by the refs...
