I wouldn't be surprised to see Ware get some snaps against mills if he leads the league in pressures allowed...in those pictures, Selvie is on the LT in the first two pics and against the RT in the other...we'll see come Monday night

I noticed this the last couple weeks that Dware has been playing strongside D End more often than not. That doesn't make sense to me, Ware doesn't have the size for that, keep him on the Weakside.

A guy like Selvie, the more you play him the less effective he'll be. He's a depth player being asked to do too much because the team lacks any DL talent.

This is probably true and it's a shame because we had pretty good talent on the DL with Spencer, Ratliff, Hatcher, and Ware. Guys like Selvie, Crawford, Bass and Hayden could have been rotation guys. While I think we should have drafted at least one DL this year, there was no way to predict that we would be so decimated by injuries on the DL. 4 of the top 6 DL (Spencer, Ratliff, Crawford, Bass) going into training camp are gone with only Hatcher and Ware remaining. Even the two remaining guys out of the original top 6 have missed games due to injury.

While I still am pissed about the KC and Detroit games, 7-5 and undefeated in the division isn't the worst position to be in considering how injury-depleted and terrible our D has been. Throw in an inconsistent offense and unreliable running game (overall) and things could be a lot worse for this team. While no wins are guaranteed, all of the remaining games are certainly winnable. It's been nice to see them take care of business after the bye. Hopefully our injury luck will change and we can build on what we saw in the second half of the Raiders game.

Couldn't agree more. He's wearing down because he's being played beyond what you want him to be in there for. If they weren't so injury riddled on the d-line where he could be used in a more traditional rotation this guy would be an outstanding find.

He's been a really pleasant surprise for this team this year and I'd like to see him stay here and become part of a deeper rotation, hopefully, next year.

I'm not so sure. Selvie might be a better full-time RDE but I do agree that he is not a every down LDE. He is being asked to do too much because he is playing out of position.

For Dallas to win, Ware and Hatcher have to dominate the Bears o-line; Selvie, Golden Boy and the rest of the linemen just have to play solid.

"Injury riddled" is becoming a fact of life in the NFL. If you aren't prepared for injuries, you aren't prepared to compete.

Ware is probing for mismatches. And the strongside DE does not always line up on the left side in this scheme. Strongside DE lines up on TE side.

pretty much this. i dont think he's a long term viable starter. he's what victor butler was supposed to be.

Could you imagine a year in which our stars performed as they should and stayed healthy AND we kept converting on steals like Selvie, Harris, Leary, Dunbar etc. we'd be 11-5 easily.

Here's hoping that with the Bears' 32nd ranked run defense, Green Bay's recent struggles, the Commanders' flameout, and the Eagles possibly being overrated, the Cowboys are 11-5 anyway. It could happen, not saying it will, though.

That is a very good comparison. Give him an offseason, TC and preseason next year and you would expect him to be even better.

If Mills is weak then Ware is the one we put over there -- if Spencer were here it would be a different story, but really we've only got one good edge rusher and you want him where he can do the most damage.

One of the best pick ups on short notice I can remember. Taking Spencer and Crawfords place as an emergency pick up he aint no Ware but he has better numbers than Ware this year. This is a quick article with PICS! Breaks down why he's been less than dominant lately and why he could be moreso on MNF.

I met George at a charity function in Pensacola before the season started. At the time, he was a FA that was announced as a recent Jaguar. I remember thinking, we need DEs and this guy at least looks the part. Little did I know we would go get him. What a pickup!

There's George slightly hidden behind someone's head. Great guy. How many others can y'all recognize via my grainy pic on that stage? Lots of huge names all originating from Pensacola. Don Sutton is the one addressing the others in this pic.

Hopin he has a few more sacks this year. With 6 now he's in the neighborhood of where Spencer would be and he would probably have a couple more if Ware was 100% all year. .Sacks aren't everything but there could very easily be some guy over there with 1-2 sacks and no push at all.

Selvie's production is not only underestimated but underappreciated. He should end with 8-10 sacks for the season and has been better against the run playing the strong side than expected. He has more than earned his starting position.

I can't help thinking that he would be a better RDE but he has done a solid job as the strong side DE. Too bad Ware has had a subpar year; this d-line could have been pretty good if Ware was playing up to his normal outstanding standard.
