NFL.com media analyst Bucky Brooks wrote that "there is a buzz already brewing about Holliman's potential at the next level" after Holliman picked off his 9th and 10th pass against Florida State on Thursday.
Holliman's ability to find the ball jumps out to scouts. Brooks noted that, "Holliman showsexcellent awareness and anticipation patrolling the middle of the field. Most important, he displays outstanding ball skills and strong hands when the ball is in his area." The 6-foot-1, 206-pound Holliman's "production and skills will make him a top prospect to watch down the road," Brooks concluded. Nov 3 - 7:55 PM

The guy is a ball hawk for sure. I haven't studied him to much but have watched Louisville play 4 times this year and he made more than a few plays in every game. He is a RS Soph I don't know if he will come out this year or not. If he declares then I will study him more.

He barely saw the field last year with Calvin Pryor and Hakeem Smith ahead of him. He's got the look of a true centerfielder and is probably the best draft-eligible true free safety.

Yeah he like a magnet for the ball. True ball hawk. The type we need to play FS on our defense and let church and Wilcox battle it out for the SS

I'm interested to see if he comes out this year

A 6-0, 213-pound redshirt sophomore, Holliman leads the nation with 13 interceptions after getting three against Boston College in a 38-19 win. Holliman has come down with at least one interception in eight of theplay the man, a skill most NFL defensive backs lack.

That's why I believe veteran scouts will see a young Ed Reed in Holliman's play when they take a closer look. When I evaluated Reed during his final season at Miami, I was blown away by his instincts, awareness and ball skills as a deep defender in the Hurricanes' scheme. He had a knack for being around the ball, and his ability to make the play was unrivaled in the college game. As aresult, Reed snagged 21 interceptions during his four seasons at Miami, including 17 during his junior and senior seasons. With those traits also fueling Reed's production as a pro (64 career interceptions in 12 seasons), it is possible that Holliman could develop into a game-changing defender at the next level.

If he could average half the number of picks that he had in college, he would be considered a top play maker. A ball hawk is something this secondary has lacked for a long time.

Granted, I've only watched him in the BC game but what I saw was, hands down, some of the poorest tackling I've ever witnessed. I've never seen such a lack of physicality from a player at the collegiate level.

Holliman =14x INTs this season with a bowl game left to play.
Think the most INTs anyone on our team has had in one 16 game season was LINEBACKER Sean Lee with 4.
Believe the last time we had a DB with 5 INTs in a year was Mike Jenkins with 5….and we ran him off cuz he didn't want to tackle a 240 lb RB barreling into the endzone. I would surmise that before that it might've been Ken Hamlin.
I like our LB corps for next year if we can get Lee healthy, Durant and McClain re-signed and have Hitchens backing up. Add a ballhawk in the secondary and some push up front, we might have a legit NFL defense.

I've watched all the film I can find on him & the Kentucky game today & I came away with the exact same feeling as you. Dude avoids contact, I don't think he made a single tackle today. Although he has great ball skills he lacks physicality I wouldn't draft him until atleast the 3rd unless I start to see some serious tackling skills in his next few performances

There is some doubt about his tackling but he is a true centerfielder with great ballhawk skills.

Our current FS might be a better tackler but his lack of speed means he is usually nowhere close enough to make a play on the ball. I'd take the chance on Holliman.

Hollimans projected 40 time is in the 4.5's which is about what he looks like on film. That is no faster than Wilcox or Church. The problem with him shying from tackles is that as the last line of defense if he doesn't get the int & he doesn't make the tackle the other team is getting a TD.

Just like the terrible angles that Church and Wilcox take that leads to multiple missed tackles. Our safeties stink, give me a playmaker.

4.5 speed with the ability to adjust/turn your hips is a big difference. Wilcox is fast, coming forward and he brings a ton of power too. Church does not play anywhere near 4.5 speed. Holliman has some Ed Reed like similarities. We need a Free Safety and we have for years.

Gotta have a "playmaker" at every level,
DL-pressure consistenly, sacks, tackles for loss, fumbles caused

LB- depending on scheme need to pressure the QB, and all the above plus occasionally pick a ball off (Lee when healthy)

S-gotta be a hawk and a guy that consitently separates ball from receiver
And I haven't followed this guy to know if he's that or not
