Getting Pac-Man in 'principle' was easy; now begins the difficult part

What is your take on Pac-Man's nonathletic prospects in Dallas?

It must have seemed like a card game.
Bud Adams squinted across the table from Jerra.
Jerra had a look of a man comfortable in the knowledge that he held the big cards. And the Titans knew that, after all, Jerra was taking a gamble on a player the Titans would give up, anyway.
So Jerra grinned at Bud. Bud asked for a fourth.
And Jerra quickly extended his figurative hand to shake on it. You see, time is mon-AY and already Jerra had expended too much time on the deal. CB, WR, RB and lines needed upgrading. And his expert attention.
So, now a week before the draft, Bud edged closer to getting a deal done. Bud takes a draw from his cigar and said "Pac-Man is one of the premier CBs in the league. Lots of yards on punt returns. A two-fer for you, Jerra."
And Jerra nods and tells Bud: But Adam Jones comes with a six-fer rap sheet.

So now comes the um, difficult part.

First, there is the effort to raise our problem child's suspension.
My guess is that Goodell would just as soon lift the suspension and appear to be a redemptive type. And perhaps good PR for the NFL.

But Goddell is the new sheriff in town. He's already put several football players out of work for being PR problems, to say nothing of the menace to society. Goodell will be in no mood to appear to be a pushover.
But he knows Jerra and his pull in the NFL.
So he'll strike a deal with Jerra by mid camp.
A compromise that lifts the suspension but deprives Pac-Man of a full camp.
And yet Jerra will smile at this deal. He should.

But, still. Beyond all this is a new town for Pac-Man to conquer. New poses to make. New posses to form. New displays of public, ahem, excess.

If Calvin Hill and Jerra and Stephen cannot work out a deal that mentions Pac-Man's staying away from "problem" areas, the Pac-Man era might soon come to a sudden skid. And if Pac-Man is reinstated and gets into mischief in Dallas, it will be an angry, red-faced Goodell being the avenging angel of NFL purity and goodness. And Pac-Man will miss the season. And probably miss the next, too. And a pay stub.

The allures will be there for Pac-Man in monied, sophisticated and glitzy Dallas.

Yes, here comes the difficult parts.

So, in this era of Pac-Man, Jerra lies awake at night envisioning INTs and deflections and punt returns.
Calvin Hill lies awake at night fearing the phone call from DPD.

Blah blah blah, it's a gamble, but at least it's a low risk for Jerry and the boys if the guy doesn't behave.

OTH, if he hasn't even reached his potential yet, and he is a model citizen and goes out and tears it up, it will be the biggest steal, well since Moss last year.
