Well Dallas can knock out the Eagles later if the Giants lose.....I'd much rather have that scenario then having to win next week on the road!

Well obviously that's the ideal scenario. I just don't want to trust it. I want the Eagles out come hell or high water.

VERY favorable spot....I think he got the 1st...but not by THAT much.

In fairness, he's hit at least 4 or 5 guys on the hands who didn't catch the ball.

Hes also hit the Jets in the hands once or twice.

Good stuff... another first down.

Sanchez can't hit open guys and Eli's WR can't catch passes right in their hands. :laugh1:

The Jets are trying to use a dink and dunk offense, the Giants are going for the big play.

Numerous studies by renowned mathematicians and football experts over the years have shown that the statistics ALWAYS favor going for it on fourth and less than one from anywhere on the field and usually going for it on fourth and ten or less.

For example...

http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/17/a-new-study-on-fourth-downs-go-for-it/

This is one from 2009. The common theme is always that coaches fear losses more than they anticipate gains, so they make the illogical decision to punt on fourth down many times.

Just read it...the author fails to seriously take into account field position when considering going for it on 4th down. In this case, the Jets were on the wrong side of the field. Had they failed to convert and even if the Giants failed to move the ball an inch, they would still be in position to kick a field goal for points.

He is still 10 of 15 in this game. Eli is 5 of 13.
Eli has been horrid lately also. He was bad in the game he beat us. Just nobody cares when he stinks it up.

I totally agree with going for it on 4th-and-1 when you're between your opponent's 35-48 yard line.

On your own half of the field? No.

Every time I see Sanchez play it makes me thankful that we have Tony Romo as our QB. Could you imagine having to watch this weekly? Feel bad for Jet fans.
