Here's one Giants fan who sees the truth-
http://www.nj.com/forums/giants/

"The things is, this team isn't even likeable.

I can take losing. If I couldn't, I wouldn't have stayed with this franchise all these years. I've watched the Giants lose far more than they've won.

At least they lost with class. At least they conducted themselves like MEN.

Now I am forced to root for a team cloaked with no-account cheap-shots.

I'll root for the Giants' 'brand' on Sunday -- the brand that gave us Gifford, Webster, Mildenhall, Carson, Martin, Simms, Bavaro, etc., etc., etc., but I could give a dam* about this current crop of suckers -- guys like Strahan, Tiki, Burress, Eli, etc. Alleged leaders. Yeah, right.

This team is full of punks, who take no account for their putrid play and even more reprehensible behavior off the field. Everybody is in it for themselves. This isn't a TEAM. It's a band of back-stabbers.

If (when?) they lose Sunday, at least I know the end is near for some of these 'leaders.' And the further they will be distanced from the guys I hope will renew the brand I remember -- guys like Jacobs, Kiwi, Osi, etc.

What a sick state of affairs.

Go Giants? Of course, I'm stuck with this team for life -- hopefully not this one much longer though."

I gotta tell ya.... I dont blame this guy.... Its like G-Women over here....

Having Plaxico as a team mate doesnt help... he blew in Pitt, he blows here...

I predict he will do a "ooppsy-daisy" while pulling up on a pass atleast one time

You know I agree with him because even in years past when we lost I remember how from their owner on down they had class. And by the same token ther have been times when I have been ashammed to a Cowboy fan, anybody rmeeber the Michael Irvin/rented party house/Tuinei death, etc. every franchise has their dark days, thats when you see whether they really have class or not(Irvin at the vet comes to mind). As for Phily i hope they loose their next bazillion in a row..

For what it's worth, I can't stand Burress. He's probably the player I have disliked most since... T.O.

Now, I have warmed to T.O. a little since he came to Dallas, as for the most part I believe he has conducted himself well. He chirps a little, but not as loudly as he used to, although you wouldn't know it by the media. When ESPN is putting T.O. on the front page for saying "I kinda disagree with cutting a Kicker," it just makes me roll my eyes. It's a kicker. How is this news?

But, Burress just kills me with the stuff he says and does. Players that take plays off and don't bother finishing routes or blocks annoy me enough as it is. However, players that don't do those things, and still talk trash about other players? Just scum who have no idea how blessed they are to be doing what they do for a living. T.O. certainly has his qualities I'm not fond of, but at least he shows up on the field each play.

I agree with the guy because its the Giants org and NOT the Dallas org... I will never feel ashamed of being a Cowboys fan... regardless of things past, decision that were horrible... etc...

So I can agree with him but not with you.

that about sums up the NYG. Plax and Shockey share a brain cell and I'm never quite sure who is currently in possession of it.

I was listening to Mike and Mad Dog on WFAN here in NY yesterday.

They obviously spend alot of time on the NYG these days and Francesa made a point that I've thought was the case for a long time.

He said (slight paraphrase):

"These guys act like they've won a championship. They have the attitude like won something and they've had it for a long time. These vets, like Strahan and Barber...they went to a Super Bowl years ago and got killed. They act like they won something and they never have."

I talked about this with a good friend of mine way back when Coughlin was first getting hired. He called it a "sense of entitlement" and hoped Coughlin would be able to beat it out of them.

Looks like Coughlin wasn't able to do that. The Giants will be chumps until they clean out the over-hyped vets.

It was interesting to hear Francesa echo my thoughts yesterday.

I find it funny how all Giants fans could talk about all offseason was how T.O. was going to destroy our team, and so on. Looks like the tables have turned dramatically, and Burress is the one with the wrecking ball. Whether it's with his mouth, or by quitting on his team.... I can't help but laugh.

Frankly a new coach needs to come in and clean house. They need to dump Barber, Plexiglass and anyone else that is not a team player. They have some young guys like Kiwi, Tuck and some vets like Pierce that they can build around.

All receivers take plays off. I noticed even Keyshawn did it on a run up the middle. Just stood there on the line, did nothing.

Maybe because he was lined up on the outside and the run was up the middle? Sometimes you just aren't in a position to have an impact on a play, it's not the same thing as "taking a play off".

Did you ever see Key give up on a route and not fight for the ball? That's what Plaxico does best. That, and become invisible in the postseason.

You make an excellent point.

Same could be said about McNabb and Portis.

Well quitting on your team, and getting injured are two different things. You can't really control injuries, but you can control how hard you play the game...

A win over a team with their backs against the wall such as the Giants would be huge.

Win this game and we are on our way to bigger and better things.
