Looking to have a peaceful debate about the game...considering there isn't much I can say that would defend the way my Giants have been playing the last 4 games. I think the game is going to be very interesting, I don't think there is anyway one team comes out of this getting blown out, it is going to be a battle. The Giants players actually called a players meeting only today and it seemed like it may have helped a lot of players.

Big Bob Whitfield came out of it saying this

"The big one is coming this week -- a huge one, the biggest," veteran tackle Bob Whitfield said. "It's bigger than all of them, bigger than the home opener. It will set the tone for December, when teams fall by the wayside."

The problems with the Giants go on forever though, between an under-utilized Shockey, a heartless Plaxico, A struggling Eli, A big mouthed Tiki, 8 injured starters (plus more forcing 3rd stringers to start), and one of the worst, if not the worst, collapse in Giants history. Not to mention big back Brandon Jacobs (I believe he had a little run in with Mr. Williams last time they met) isn't even getting the ball, and the guy is averaging more yards per carry and catch then Tiki, he is a great change of pace and they need to use him more.

I actually asked myself how the Giants could get over this? If it was possible at all to be able to come back and beat a thriving Dallas team after a game like that. I don't know the answer but I do know I will be rooting my *** of for the Giants this week.

I am looking at your team and I know every team has problems but really you guys got everything going for you right now (I am hoping that helps the Giants in a way). I mean a young upcoming QB who is dominating in Romo, just took first place in the division, your defense is dominant as always, and honestly what problems are you guys seeing with your team right now? I see you got a little kicker controversy right now :D thats about it.

I actually think the formula for success for the Giants this week is getting pressure on Romo, the Giants aren't even sure if there starting Corners can play yet (Madison and Webster) and if they can't go then getting pressure will be a key for us in winning. To get pressure we need Umenyiora back (strahan will not be back this week) and once again the Giants are unsure if he will be back. The only definite right now is that Brandon Short will be back for the Giants.

So I guess all im saying is good luck this week and don't count a beat up Giants team out of it just yet. Our players should be coming out hungry, hopefully they have enough will power to pull us through (well hopefully for us Giants fans that is)

Sorry, I just saw "BeastfromtheEast" and assumed it was a Cowboys fan. Strange that a Giants fan would use that name.

Dallas never blows the Giants out, this game won't be any different. I expect a tough, physical game.

Good summary.

I think all the material the loudmouths on your team gave our players, and especially Roy, is going to bite them in the butt this week. This team has been waiting for this game, and they're looking for revenge. This isn't even close to the same team you played at full strength before, so I honestly don't give the Giants much chance. But it is a division game - so it's gonna be close.

No one on this forum is writing this game off and automatically figuring a win. The Giants scare me. They are a desperate team, hungry for a win. Nothing brings out the best in a team like playing against a division rival at home (see the Commanders game).

I think the Giants still have a lot of talent. A football season can change in an instant, and let's hope for a hard fought game by both sides.

(let's also hope the game is not decided by a Gramatica kick)

You are so right about that. To be honest I was writing off the cowboys when they lost to the Commanders, and look where we are now.

Personally, I think Dallas should win this game.

New York's confidence is reeling. Its quarterback is inconsistent and weak down the stretch. The list of problems go on, and on.

With that said, New York is in the thick of the divisional race and should land a playoff spot. So, despite the injuries, they're obviously talented. The backs-against-the-wall mentality scares me a tad.

I think it's KEY for Dallas to start strong on Sunday. The Cowboys simply cannot allow a big play -- such as the deep TD to Plaxico that began the Monday night game -- early. The best thing the Cowboys can do is make the Giants question themselves and their fans turn against them early.

Forcing Eli into poor throws, creating a turnover, or driving home a powerful opening possession could all do this. In my mind, the Cowboys MUST make the Giants think, "Crap, here we go again" early in the game. Immedaitely take away any hope that was created from today's players meeting.

Strong starts are always important, but especially against a team against the ropes like New York.

I think we "can" win even without a strong start. But it'll be difficult, especially on the road. You said a blowout won't happen, which is likely. But I think there's a "chance" of New York getting embarrassed if they get down early. Like I said, I just wonder how mentally strong they'll be in such a scenario.

Regardless, huge game for the division Sunday. Should be tons of fun and story lines. Hopefully, Martin Gramatica isn't among those storylines. :)

kicker, run blocking....that's about it. The deciding factor in this game will be the one Giants fans fear the most: Bill Parcells.

Giants.com is the site for young, immature, and arrogant Giant fans. You will find threads just as dumb here but believe me the regulars are the best people in the world.

Dale, I very much hope there will be no blowout, because if there is we know which side will come out on top. I think this one will be a shootout though, it might be a good thing if Gramatica is involved in the ending, hell it might even be good for you guys if our Kicker is involved in the outcome (Yes Feely blows :()

First of all :welcome: to the forum. Very good first post. I hope the members here will recognize this and treat you well. Most will, some won't. You probably know the drill.

The first game against you guys I feared Tiki Barber. Not much has changed for me. I think if he's running well it takes pressure off Eli, who though he is struggling is still capable of being a difference maker.

I feel we can throw the ball on you and we need to do this, but I honestly think we're going to try and run the ball hard this week. Call it an attempt to demoralize a team that is down on itself. I feel there are 2 ways to do this. Big plays or controlling the clock. I think the latter is more lethal.
