Giants | Linebackers now a position of strength
Sat, 17 Jun 2006 11:03:40 -0700
Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports the New York Giants' linebacking corps, arguably the weakest unit of the defense last season, could prove to be the strongest unit in 2006 with the return of healthy bodies and the addition of LB LaVar Arrington. "I think with everybody healthy, we can be the strongest part of this defense," Giants LB Carlos Emmons said. "I like the way we have guys that can do a whole lot of different things. We're so deep at that position now. If something does happen now, it won't be like last year where we have to get guys off the street. We have guys behind us that can step right in and play."
