Giants lose Gibril Wilson to Raiders

FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reports free agent S Gibril Wilson's deal with the Raiders will be for six years and $39 million.
It'll include a whopping $16 million signing bonus. Glazer says the Giants were unwilling to match the offer, which is almost a given. Word around the NFL is that Al Davis is overpaying because nobody wants to go to Oakland.

I don't see Hamlin being signed now. Thats just too much money which we can't afford. I guess we need to draft a safety this year at some point.

Yeah. That's a pretty astounding rate change for the safety position. We'll have to take a cap hit on Williams next year if we want to keep Hamlin after this year. Don't see it happening.
