Giants-Pats Game Thread

The Giants seem to relish situations and games like this but it seems like the Cowboys look passive and scared, I wonder if that's from Coughlin constantly beating on them

Contrast how the Giants played in the final few minutes against NE vs. how Dallas did.

And, wow, Patrick Peterson an amazing return.

Phillips nearly through his 3rd pick six of the game. Let's see if he gets skewered like Romo did in the Jets game...I will be watching sportscenter for the first time in along time to see if hey gets the same treatment.
he's been getting skewered by ESPN all season.

I hate myself for posting this at all, but it was a good game. Figured I'd get this in before the thread is locked. Lousy PI call, but no crying here. Placeholder for the Gnats winning drive (15-20 mins before video is up). I still think we can beat 'em.

Tom Coughlin has big brass balls ad it rubs off on his team. Our team still has the stink of cowardice thanks to Wade Phillips.

lets just hope we can take one vs the Giants. i really dont see it. can somebody give me a way? i mean seriously, this team is about to get some of their injured players back and their defense is clicking. those pass rushers coming off the edge vs. our oline is going to be a nightmare.

Oh well. Still a good game.

This game, to me, is as bad as the Cowboys losing. Not sure how any Cowboy fan can take it so lightly. The Giants winning that game is absolutely huge in our race for the NFC East. It's pretty hard for us to win the division now.

Was thinking the same thing. But I also think the Giants have been fairly lucky in situations like these as well.

Horrible that the giants won but hats off to them they played very well. Let's see If they don't colaPse like they have in past years

We will be fortunate to win just one against them im afraid. This win for them really put them in the drivers seat, and the WC looks out of the question atm.

Can't believe what I'm reading here. Did I watch a different game?

Let's break down the last Giants drive.

Eli had an INT DROPPED by Chung. Then he throws a risky pass over the middle that looks like it might be picked, but the TE makes a magnificent catch to bail him out. "Ballard may not make a better catch for the rest of his career," Aikman says.

Then a 12 yard scramble by Eli. Nice heady play by him. 1st down at the 21.

Then the patented "throw up a prayer and hope for the best" from Eli. Flag, pass interference. Ball is placed at the 1 and from there, you'd better punch it in. And they did.

I give Eli credit for the scramble and for punching it in from the 1/2 yard line. The rest of that drive was luck, but that's what Eli relies on so frequently. It's why he threw an endzone INT earlier, and it's why he's historically an INT machine.

But don't let me hold up the Eli love-fest. Eli was terrific at home vs. Seattle like Romo was today... wasn't he?

Yeah, it pretty much puts the Giants in the driver's seat. Still plenty of football left to play, but it's their's to lose now.

Back the bull **** truck up. We still play them twice, and there are 8 games left. A lot of football to be played. I'm so tired of people wanting to give up every single week. It's a stupid defeatist attitude.

so much for that "tough" schedule..

Giants got the division on lock

Giants winning is never as bad as the Cowboys losing. Cowboys still control their own destiny this year.

I'm quoting myself because of all the comments in this thread. Unbelievable.

Luck...

Dal v NE 1 TD and 3FG
NYG v NE 3TD v 1FG

That was remarkable, if your honest. They took advantage of the NE secondary, unlike Dallas. That wasn't a fluke

Agreed.

I don't know how we'll get in the playoffs unless we can take the chaos out of our offense.

I'm afraid the Giants may go 11-5 and cancel us out completely.

Who said I was "giving up"? I was simply pointing out, it's not something to say "oh well it was a good game" to.

It's a big deal that they beat the Patriots. That was a game they were supposed to lose, and they won.
