Giants QB Jared Lorenzen has apparently moved ahead of Tim Hasselbeck and Rob Johnson on the team's depth chart.

The Hefty Lefty will enter New York's next preseason game directly after Eli Manning. Lorenzen has been sharp throughout the off-year.

Guy was fun to watch at Kentucky.

Kid was a huge dough ball but he could move and make some plays.

I think there was one game, can not remember who it was against, where they played 3-5 overtime periods and he was still going strong even for as overweight as he was.

Who knows at this point but I did read a blurb somewhere last week that said he was doing good in camp and may move up the depth chart.

However nobody knows when reading the media these days.

Agree, one of the worst QBs I've ever seen in the NFL. Cannot complete a simple drop back pass unless he's in shorts and a red shirt.

And the Kentucky game that went a long way was against Arkansas...at the end of regulation people were leaving and Lorenzen turned around and yelled "You're leaving already? Ya'll are gonna miss a hell of a game".

He was a blast to watch at Kentucky. Didn't they lose a game to LSU on the last play of the game a year or so ago? That is one of the games in which he really played well.

I thought he might be able to start if he lost some weight.

BTW, some people cannot lose weight anymore than some can quit alcohol or drugs. Others may not be from addiction but still is beyond our abilities to diagnose and understand. Just FYI.
