Week before Bye: 14-3
Week after Bye: 3-13 (2 wins against Washington in 1990 and '95 and 1 against Philly in 2000)
Lost 13 of past 15 post-bye games and 8 of past 9.
"I don't think anyone goes into the next game thinking about it," linebacker Reggie Torbor said. "It's not like the Curse of the Bambino or anything."
League average after the bye is .523, Giants is .188 (Which is weird cuz that doesn't add up to 3-13 record)
"It's a mystery to everybody," said Amani Toomer.
"That's gone," cornerback Will Allen said. "That's gone already."
"I can read, so I know what the numbers are," Coughlin said. "We're trying to do the very best we can with it, from the standpoint of planning how to practice, what to do during the bye week, what to do as you come back, and we're following a formula that's been pretty good for me over the years, so we'll see."
