Giants secondary won't be at full strength

New York CB Aaron Ross has been ruled out of Sunday night's game because of a hamstring injury.

The Giants' Corey Webster has established himself as an elite cornerback. The most recent evidence came in New York's win over the Commanders, when he shut down Santana Moss.

But there is a significant drop-off from Ross to Terrell Thomas, who struggled against Antwan Randle-El (seven catches, 98 yards).

The Cowboys exploited a backup in the opener against the Bucs. Sabby Piscitelli, who was torched repeatedly, was starting at safety because of Tanard Jackson's suspension.

Don't be surprised if Jason Garrett schemes to attack Thomas.

So Timmy Mac is now saying Corey Webster is now elite because he shut down Santana Moss?

Uhhh when was Santana Moss an elite WR?

Does anyone know?

Sad thing is that this cat actually believes what he is writing here.

Nobody worries about thier secondary anyway. They could take fans out of the seats and put them out there with that D line. Thats what we need to worry about.

Webster probably isn't elite, BUT he's UP there as being one of the better corners. He nearly beat the crap out of Santana Moss too. What a chump. :laugh1:

I am not worried about Canty or Fat Rocky....

No pass rush between those two.

haha, Webster's so good that not only did he shut out Moss, but he decided to get in a couple punches too.

Thats quality coverage.

IIRC When we lost to Giants in playoffs and/or another regular season game, they were in the same situation with beat up secondaries and backups and rookies in key spots for majority of games.

They will do what they did the last 2 times and come guns a blazing with heavy blitzing and try to not give WR's time to get open and/or Romo time to set and do reads and throw.

Worked well against us a few times now. Why would they change?

It will be up to Garrett to move Romo out of pocket, prepare for blitzes, and hopefully gash them with Felix and Choice with quick hit runs that make them pay for their aggressiveness. Choice has the vision and smarts, and Felix has the burst/speed to make them pay!

I want to see pitches to some pitches to Felix!

I love when a team does an all out blitz and the QB just stalls as much as he can, then simply flicks the football to the RB on a screen for a huge gain.

I am hoping we see Felix do that.

Webster is a really good corner. Elite? I don't know but he's definately very good. Thomas is going to have his hands full cause I imagine we'll scheme to get mismatches up against him all night long.
