I was mad we did not sign CJ Anderson last year and dump Rod Smith. Wouldn't you know that the Rams sign CJ towards the end of the year and he kills us in the playoffs.
You realize CJ was cut by two teams before signing with the rams last year.

Why would you waste a 2nd overall pick on Saquon if you’re just gonna replace him the next year?

They can have him...

The #Giants have signed former #Cowboys reserve RB Rod Smith, who struggled last year but averaged 4.2 yards per rush in 2017.
Damn!,,,and y'all only thought the former #13 yarded it out hard against us? ,,, ya, well he was only sportin' a 50 milligram Viagra against us,,,SHEESE,,, y'all know the former #45 is gonna triple up on that cutting edge doseage of Rockwell hardness rating when he gets the chance:eek:

* :lmao:dude flat out seared an indelible mental tattoo upon those losers foreheads tho:lmao:

I'm not sure what that has to do with me wanting him on the team. Just because he was cut by the Panthers and the dysfunctional Raiders (signed him for 5 days then cut him) has nothing to do with the fact that he would be a clear upgrade over Rod Smith. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2017 while playing for a very limited Denver offense. We had a chance to upgrade our back up RB position and ignored it. Do you realize how much better our running game could be if Zeke wasn't exhausted by the time the 4th quarter rolled around? I am hoping these 2 RBs we drafted can help keep Zeke fresh.

I hope this just isn't a long term plan to lure away Jaylon next year by offering the chance to play with his brother again. (kidding)

Like Darius Jackson and Bo Scarbrough?

Draft picks bust every year. I don't count on them until they show it.
I get it but we are ohio state fans and have watched Weber a lot. He is not flashy but very solid. The pollard kid has really good abilities. Darius and Bo are one trick backs. These two are much, much more. How they translate to the next level is another question. Bo also was all athlete the football IQ was a huge question mark. It was even hard at times just to hear him speak.

Probably not far from the truth...Wouldn't put this past Dave Gettleman to come up with this idea...

I liked Rod Smith.

Rod may not have been the most gifted player we've ever had but he played hard and wore the Star with dignity. I hate to see him go to the Giants just because the Giants are a dumpster fire but at least he's got a job and a chance somewhere to play even if its not a lot. Rod seemed to be a good dude and doesn't deserve the hate he's getting on this thread.

I think he sort of pulled a Troy Hambrick. Hambrick looked good as a seldom-used backup to Emmitt Smith. Then, when Smith left and Hambrick was inexplicably made the starter, he flopped.

Smith thrived in a seldom-used role behind Elliott and Alfred Morris. Teams just didn't pay any attention to him because he was a third-stringer, so they didn't really know what to expect of him. He didn't get a lot more attention last year, but I believe defenses looked at him enough to know what to expect when he was in the game.
Hambrick is my biggest bust as a pet cat. I loved his size and speed and thought we had a faster Jerome Bettie type back.
