Giants signed DE Jerome McDougle to a one-year, $1 million contract.

The Eagles are kicking themselves right now. McDougle seemed to revitalize his career this preseason, recording 2.5 sacks, and doesn't have much in front of him (Dave Tollefson, Renaldo Wynn) in his bid for playing time. The 2003 No. 15 overall pick is 29 now, but has Justin Tuck-like potential in NYC.

Smart Move. The guy has been a bust, but he'll be motivated to play against the e-girls twice a season. Could you imagine if kearse and Mcdougle have great years.

We'll see how this goes for them, but I know an Eagles' fan, and I asked this person about some of the Eagles' players. Furthermore, I asked him about their defensive line. One of the first things he said was this. McDougle hasn't worked out. He said that he wasn't a good player at all. Plus, the Eagles and Giants play the same defense.

Heck, Cowboys cut Derius George after he got 2 sacks against the scrubs. Do that against Starters, then we shall see.

Now, maybe I am wrong, and he got his Sacks against Starters on the opposite team, but from what I saw bits and pieces, I saw couple of sacks I belive, were against either 2nd or 3rd teamers.

the eagles should have called the giants and offered a trade. the giants really were desperate to get someone.

McDougle is injury prone and has a grand total of 3 sacks over a 5 year career.

We'll see if Spagnoodle can turn his fortunes around, could be a good move by NY.

He had the worst luck. I am suprised they did not keep, him. I think he is matured, injury free. A similar thing happened with Derrick Burgess. He was hurt with them for 2-3 years. They cut him and went to be an all-pro with Oakland.

they will not hjave the same defense because even with mcdougal who I think is mediocre they will not have the same pass rush and therefor they will not get as much turnovers and their offense is just ok. I don't think they will do well.

Well they look pretty good to me. If they don't respect the Giants they're foolish IMO.
