Tuck's sacks for the past 5 years:
4, 5, 11.5, 6, 12

And both of them were pro-bowlers relatively recently.neither player was retired. they were unsigned free agents. do you have to be so dishonest to make a point?

I'm licking my chops over whoever lines up against Diehl at guard. that guy is washed up and now playing out of position.
How about David Diehl's replacement?
"Giants announced OL David Diehl will undergo surgery to repair his unstable right thumb that will sideline him six weeks."

Your best argument for our G situation being good is the guys we tried to sign technically where not retired at the time? well crap you sure told me i feel more confident then ever in our Gs now
you don't have to draft that many O linemen if you hit on a higher percentage then- what is it now with the Boys in the last 10 years?
Smith
Fred- hopefully
Free- depending on the year.
Out of how many picks on the O line?
The Giants have been able to use fewer picks because they have been better at picking.
Not really sure what you are trying to say here, this team did try to sign 2 retired OGs this offseason yes or no? those fans and their overreacting huh? If you wanna stick your head in the sand and ignore every potential issue this team might have then more power to you, but don't try suggesting this is fans overreacting when the team tried to talk 2 OGs out of retirement and expect to be taken seriously.
The Giants OL will likely be down 2 starters in Week 1. The way it's looking now, the Cowboys DL will be down 2 starters. Call it a draw?
Confused as to how you could not understand that post, but, yes, the team did try to upgrade it's starting RG. And I'm glad they did as their proscouts obviously thought those two players represented upgrades. How am I ignoring that? And isn't that the opposite of sticking your head in the sand? That's proactively trying to get better. The way they did at C and LG, too.
And, yes, I'm explicitly saying some of you guys are massively overreacting to the fact that we were unable to upgrade our starting RG and so may have to play the season with the same guy we played it with last year. And, yes, my measure of that overreacting was that it was comparable to how Giants fans reacted to losing a second OL starter for the first quarter or so of the season *this week*. There is such a thing as a degree of concern, and, for whatever reason, Dallas fans crank that degree up to 11 every time they hear the word 'guard' these days. Then they say you can't be taken seriously if you happen to think that '11' actually looks more like a '3' or a '4'.
and we are absolutely justified due to how lousy the O line has been for several years. You like to neglect that little FACT.
What 2 starters down on DL? Rat and Spencer?
my best argument is simply showing how you were making up stuff. there was no technicality about it. neither player had retired at the point we contacted them.
Would it be unsporting of us to put Ware over the rookie tackle? I don't want to do anything untoward.
Yes. I know the word out of Valley Ranch is they will be ready. But they are going to have to practice at some point. We're still a few weeks away but it wouldn't surprise me at all if these 2 miss a game or 2.
