Giants second-year safety Will Hill will get his first eye-to-eye look at Cowboys future Hall of Fame tight end Jason Witten on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

“He’s a big guy,” said the 6-1, 207-pound Hill. “He’s good at positioning himself, getting his body in the way, blocking you out like in basketball. He’s a great receiver. He has big hands.

“He knows how to use the defender’s leverage against him. If he has you inside, he’s going to push and go outside and vice versa.”

The key to knocking Witten off his game, Hill said, is to do just that.

“You have o get your hands on him,” Hill said. “You have to hit him before the ball does, basically. And you have to get Romo out of his rhythm in order to get them out of their rhythm.”

Who is Will Hill? This guy has been quoted this week than anyone else on either team.

Hopefully we don't make this guy an overnight hero as we've been known to do with nondescript NYG secondary players over the years.

The Giants will focus hard on stopping Jason Witten and Dez with double teams etc.

I know people don't have much faith in Miles, but I really think he will be the difference in how this offense performs. Of course, only if he's truly healthy...as he was in the first game. If he tweaks anything... a hammy, a toe, a knee, then the offense is going to look like it has been the last few weeks. T-Will is doing great, but he's still learning. This offense NEEDS Miles of old.

That's the key. Just how healthy is he? If he is near the player we saw in Week 1, our 3WR whether it's Miles or TWill should hold a clear advantage against the NYG nickel CB, whoever that may be.

Well, they shut him down to get him healthy. If he's not healthy after all this time, then they might as well just put Dwayne Harris in the regular offense and roll with him, TWill, and Beasley...and of course, Dez. Too late in the season for a decoy. They need guys who can produce.

I agree and we will see. I'm a bit on the skeptical side concerning Miles. I know he's trying his best but i think his hammys are in a condition where they will never be "right". Maybe there is some sort of radical treatment out there he can consider during the offseason so he can resume a productive career.

Last season, Hill played just special teams in the first meeting between the teams and he was serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances when the teams met a second time.
Now he gets to cover Witten? Good luck.

I agree.

You want to have a shot in this game?

I think your first pass should go to Austin.

And your second.

And as many as you need in order to show the Giants that he needs to be accounted for.

A healthy Austin, or anything close to it, should demand better than single man coverage, if not then he shouldn't be out there.

But I would show them early that he should be accounted for as I feel doing that will force adjustments in their planned schemes and put the Cowboys in an early position of advantage, which I feel they need.

Miles is our most consistent route runner and will be Romo's 3rd down target. Just hope those hammy's hold up.

Will Hill has been quite the upgrade over Mundy since he returned from his suspension. He has been playing very well. That being said, the Giants haven't had an answer for Witten since he joined the Cowboys. I'm not sure they have the answer now either. I may hate the Cowboys but I have a ton of respect for Witten and he makes me nervous.

I have personally given up on Miles. I have seen a few people have your view point with him though and I can honestly say I might be wrong about him. We have to find a way to get the ball in other receivers hands like Beasley, Harris, Escobar, Hannah, Williams, etc. Miles is going to be gone next year so we need to be able to compete without him.
I see him rotating in and out of the slot Sunday against the Giants and not being a big part of our offense. I could be wrong though. No telling what we have up our sleeve after that bad loss against the Saints and having a bye week to plan for the Giants.

The Cowboys don't need 2009 Miles, though. A rotation of Miles in the offense will still be more than the 2012 Miles they've gotten this year. And as long as Miles actually makes them pay when he gets his opportunities, then all the other guys you named will get theirs too. He needs to be a contributor for that to happen. Because all those guys sans Harris are pretty light on experience and haven't shown they can do it with any consistency, which is why this offense has been stagnant. They need a savvy vet like Miles to come up.

You really think our offense has been stagnant due to Harris, Williams, and Beasley, etc? I would point the finger first to play calling, then poor QB play, then maybe to those guys. I don't think we properly get those guys involved enough. I don't think Miles is going to make a difference at this point either. They need to address the bigger problems first. Just my opinion.
