You know I am a Giants fan right?

After I was physically attacked in Philly, they are the only team I hate with a passion. I can't stand seeing them win the division and I am Dallas supporter in this years race. That being said, this is not a feel good thread. And I know something happening in the past is not a guarantee that it will happen again. But it MIGHT happen.

The similarities are big. Giants were 7-4 then 7-7 then won the division at 9-7 by defeating a division rival at home. That year, Giants had the 32nd ranked D yet this didn't prevent them to win the SB

Dallas was 7-5 now 7-7 and their last game is at home against the division rival.

I am not saying it is going to happen. I am saying playoffs are still a possibility for Dallas. Trying to bring more perspective by providing a historical example.

At one point, we were 7-5

Lost 2 straight and it was 7-7.

2 do or die games and suddenly we are in the playoffs.

That year, Giants D was 32nd in the league.

Just saying.

It is never over until the last game.

That 32 ranked defense turned into the #1 defense in the playoffs, I don't think that will be happening with this defense.

Giants defense was better than ours. You have to play defense in order to win in the playoffs.

I think we are more similar to the 2011 and 2012 Cowboys than the 2010 Giants.

So tired of this loser talk. I am glad we racked up all those moral victories earlier in the year.

It's over. I said pregame they needed 40 and they did. This team stinks.

Even if the Cowboys make the playoffs they will not be able to beat anyone with a Qb. Theyre simply too banged up on defense. I will always root for the Cowboys to make the playoffs regardless of the circumstance, but at this point it wouldnt be bad to shake things up in the offseason.

Of course the Giants had a real defensive line and a willingness to run the ball. Not to impugn your unbridled optimism of course. What happened in Dallas today should signal the end of certain tenures with the organization. As for me, I would sooner believe that Santa Claus will come down my chimney in red latex this year than the Cowboys winning a Superbowl.

This team is poorly coached, poorly run by the front office and has a bunch of gutless players.

I feel bad for players like Dez and Witten who actually care. Murray was right with his frustration too, you run for 7 yrds a carry and when you need to salt the game away you just pass. Ridiculous.

Correction they are just bad on defense. Don't use injuries as a crutch, this Cowboys team just isn't very good. The coach and much if his staff are complete morons too

But this defense is not just bad, it's record breakingly bad, historically bad, epically bad, bad on a biblical level.....
It's so bad that the term "Dallas Defensive Coordinator" will be placed on the list of words that cannot be said on TV. It's so bad it's actually gone from "defense" all the way back around to "offensive". It's so bad, that when the Dallas defense takes the field, the FCC is seriously considering blacking out the game since it is not appropriate for younger viewers. The defense is so bad, the CIA is considering using Dallas defense game tape as a form of torture on suspected terrorists. It is so bad that, TSA has banned copies of Cowboy game tape past security check-points in airports. It is so bad, that our defense actually aspires just to be merely bad. It is so bad that Merriam-Webster has scholars working around the clock for a new term to define this type of bad.

The scary thing is, that it could probably get worse......

What do you think Brees, Russell, Kaepernick are going to do to this defense if we can't stop average teams with backup QBs?
