Clearly Gibbs is not familiar with Emilio Estevez' work in Disney's Mighty Ducks.

There is a true underdog.

Campbell will have trouble throwing for over a 100 yards against them.

I heard-- and this is just a rumor, you understand-- that some nefarious scoundrel broke into CC's home, and stole 5 keys off of his computer keyboard... now, he can't post any more...

The bastidge took the "e", the "i", the "m", the "o" and the "x" keys...

Some of you will figure it out, some of you won't... :D

As a Christian, I always respected Joe Gibbs, but his whiny-arse antics since he has gotten back into the NFL have made me think less of him...

I still respect the man for his faith, but his constant crying has moved him down a notch in my book...

It's sad really...

When I posted that I wasn't really thinking about his faith or the positive effect he has had on players and other's lives. I do respect that part of him, reminds much of Tom Landry. So I totally agree with your post, he just needs to tone down the cryin'.

What if he was a Muslim? Would you still respect him?

What does that have to do with anything?

I respect anyone that warrants respect... he certainly does...

I was wondering the same thing. What does being a Christian have to do with respecting anyone?

If I read it right, you said you respected the man for his faith as a Christian.

I'm not going to make this a religious thread so I am ending this here.

My point is that he has always been a man of character and exemplified how a Christian should conduct himself.

It's like Walt Garrison said in an interview this morning on KTCK when asked about Coach Landry. He said that Landry didn't just prfess to be a Christian, he lived it.

My point was many claim it but don't live it. It was a compliment to him; not some religious diatribe...

You are trying to read some ulterior motive into my post that isn't in there.

Take it at face value and quit trying to make an issue of it...

Well that's great and everything.....but just be aware that people of any faith can conduct themselves with character and dignity........not just Christians.

I don't understand why some people need to attach a code of conduct to thier religion and then throw it in everyone else's face. If you are a good person you are a good person....no matter what your faith is.

Next time you may want to say that a person is a good human being in general and leave the religious stuff out so as not to look like you're insensitive to other religions.......at least in a public setting. Just a little advice. Take it or leave it. ;)

As a Muslim, I didn't find trickblue's comments insensitive at all. He was just pointing out that Gibbs professes to be a good Christian in public (it's really not private at all with him), but his recent actions of repetitively whining contradict the characteristics of one.

The absence of mentioning other religions doesn't mean he thinks that other religions don't teach good character and those who follow them are not good people. I don't know how you came to that conclusion.

I think the Commanders have a very good chance to win.

I really do.

Lie a lot.
