Love the stiff arm. Watching the gif, I can't help but think he should have continued running to the right. He had to beat 1 backer and he had Witten there to throw a block. Instead, he lost all momentum by turning the opposite direction.

He assumed that the corner was actually playing tighter and was about to attempt a tackle, that cut would have been perfect and he would have had 10-15 yards up the sideline before the safety could get over. Had this happened, it would have been a superstar play.

However the corner wasn't close and was able to see the spin and change direction, Dez had to go wider, destroyed the corner anyway, but help arrived in time to cut the play short.

I think on first down, it is fine to have your WR try and create something. Later downs, you maybe just want him driving to the sticks
