Never heard of her but sad to hear. Sometimes the very thing you love will also be your demise. Life is strange. RIP Way too young.

Yes, it's very sad. I was especially bummed that it may have been possible to save her if they could have gotten to her sooner. She survived the fall and ended up dying of hypothermia. But in the weather conditions, it was difficult to get to her.

Dying of hyperthermia in the mountains wearing a bikini.
Well at least she died doing what she loved: being famous.

Yeah, I've decided I'm not going to climb up on stuff that's up high. It's too easy to end up dead.

That’s no lie, I’ve had some pretty scary experiences with altitude sickness and slips on “beginner 14’ers” in Colorado. I love the challenge but it can be a very humbling experience.

Adrenaline junkie. I use to do a lot of crazy stuff. The fix is great . I have jumped out of helicopters only having a rope, ran down Austrailan rappel mountains, scuba dived, wanted to go skydiving and still do.my ex-wife never wanted to do any crazy stuff and kept talking me out of it.... I get my fix through exercise now

My initial thoughts based on the reporting. By all accounts though she actually had all normal equipment you would expect and only stripped down to the bikini for a quick photo at the summit.

So it really isn't the fall that gets you.

I'd been forced to work for 11 winter's straight up, on ol' Mt.Lemmon,at one time.
( the highest @ around peaking the 9k foot range, southern most snow ski casing-liner in the continuous Continental states of the US of A,,,) And let me tell you,,, having been an avid fan of that " finest of foreign and domestic tobacco blended brand of Camels cigarettes fer' well past the 40 year life's track lap of above ground time,? It was becoming obvious to me concerning that thinner air/oxygen content level @ altitude/under expended exertion the last couple of years,,,lemme' tell yao_O

*the forwardly looking, progressively implementing employer, had a bull dyke lesbian slotted in that prestigious A.O.,,,er,,, till the S*** got knee deep in F*****' real ,,,,,EVERY WINTERo_O
