Aaron Donald will go down as the best all said and done. Never seen a guy with that combo of speed, quicks and power inside.

Every generation thinks their guy is the best of all time. Having seen Lilly play in his era it not hard to understand why Brandt would make him #1. He dominated the game when he was in his prime, like LT dominated at his position. I am not taking anything away from Donald. I can see why some would make him #1, but Lilly in his day was better than Donald is today. Just my opinion.

And just so you don't think its just a Boomer talking about the good old days, I think Tiger Woods in his prime was better than Jack in his. They are definitely 1 and 2 but I think Tiger gets the edge.

I feel fortunate to have seen all these guys play in their prime.

To defend Gil, it should be pointed out that this list is several years old. Having Donald that low in a newly released list would be pretty indefensible even for an old-timer like Gil.

No Jerome Brown...

Brown was considered by many as the best DL on those 90/91 Eagles teams that had Reggie White at DE...

If not for his death prior to the 92 season I'm not certain the Cowboys would have won the division over the Eagles.

While I agree about Lilly. Three others from that era were great players. Alan Page., Merlin Olsen and Buck Buchanan.
