In a game where we couldn't turn it over. He didn't.

McFadden did twice.
Plus one other turnover, can't remember who?
But that's for another thread.

I want to say that I saw Cassel "get it" last night.

This is a pro Cassel and moving forward with Cassel thread.

No turnovers is good, but the offense was as bad as its ever been last night, especially in the first half. We need more production to have any shot against GB.

Boy was he off early in the game. He also needs to get the ball to Dez more, our offense is just better when he is involved. I don't think it is a coincidence that our offense woke up when he started to get targets.

Overall though, he didn't make mistakes---I don't even think he had any close calls so that is a start.

Devin street has NO value to this team at all! In fact all he has done has hurt this team. Cut this clown. All I gotta say about Cassel is, he's got another week under his belt.. Dez has to have atleast 10 targets.

Cassel definitely wasn't good last night, but the turnovers didn't help. We don't have a choice but to move on with Cassel, considering there's nothing behind him, so hopefully he can keep being efficient but we've got some games coming up where he's going to need to score some points.

Devin Street is the most useless WR this team has given snaps to that i can remember. Please tell me Brice Butler's leg is scheduled for amputation.

He tried to much. Go down when that many guys are surrounding you.

We have big time players. They need to play big time.
Cassel needs help. I don't see a lot of help out there besides Witten.

I haven't watched the film to see if Dez was getting open but it seems most targets Dez got was a positive play (either catch or PI).

He had a close call on a target to Beasley late in the 4th quarter that was dropped by the Commanders defender. I know the Cowboys are used to seeing their own CB's drop INT's but that was a pass that the Commander guy had a great shot to catch.

I didn't get an opportunity to watch the game last night, so I appreciate this threat. The burning question for me is did Cassell look like someone we want to return as our backup last year? From his previous games, my inclination has been to look elsewhere for an upgrade.

We won in spite of Cassel. Hard to see why we have a pro, give Cassel credit thread. Whats this like a participation trophy type thread?

We CAN still win this division, but not if Cassel plays like he did last night. He MUST play better.

I think he has earned a shot to go to camp and compete for a job.

Cassel/Another vet and a rookie...let Cassel earn it.

I don't get why we don't feed dez a lot of targets I.e like lions do with megatron. If it's single coverage it should go to dez every time. There isn't a CB that could shut dez down alone in my opinion

Let's hope the last 2 minutes Cassell plays next week against GB because the first 58 min Cassell was no more than a bus driver. I agree that he struggled most of the game but didn't hurt us with INT's.

Saw a ton of batted balls and his arm getting hit as he threw. Is it his motion? Does he have a slow release...Something wasn't right in Denmark, he was telegraphing his throws enough for the DL to get their hands up. Still, a win is a win, so we'll take that.
